  1. Stuff like this only makes the game more replayable
  2. Install Martial Law (Leads to Ex Parte Vallandingham). Missouri "Coup". Missouri was actually a contested state in the first year of the war. It had elected a pro-southern governor who tried to secretly divert funds to the state militia and aid the south, but a local union force had declared the office vacant and had implemented the Missouri Supreme Court CJ to be a more pro-union government. The old government went to exile and voted to secede from the union (South-Western Missouri in Newton County), but this motion was obviously symbolic because the Union completely controlled the entire state, and a provisionary capitol was made in Texas.
  3. Brig Amy Warwick Case (1862) Supreme Court ruled that it was legal for the president to have a blockade against rebelling states/territories and that ships going into such rebelling territories were also liable to being captured as an enemy vessel. Ex Parte Vallandigham (1863) Case on Freedom of Speech during martial law, an Ohio Governor candidate who was against the Civil War got arrested by a military tribunal. The Supreme Court stated that it didn't have the power to review military tribunal decisions.
  4. Early 1800s Government/State Creation/Funding of private turnpikes Federal or State Creation/Funding of McAdam roads; replacing dirt roads with more modernized roads 1900s Federal Creation/Funding of Modern Roads (Replacing Dirt/Gravel/McAdam roads with the roads we have today) Federal Aid Road Act of 1916 (predecessor to the Federal Highway Act)
  5. Executive Order/Policy on the War in Europe (Revolutionary France v. Britain) Policy A. Remain Neutral Policy B. Endorse Britain/Monarchs Policy C. Endorse France More of a fun one, but Washington was the first president to proclaim Thanksgiving as a National Holiday (Congress didn't pass it until later on). Yeah I'm out of ideas
  6. More "Tea Parties" happened. Philadelphia itself had a tea party (which didn't lead to destruction of tea, but the captain turned back to England), and Charleston had a tea party where they did destroy the tea. Random Events where more state legislatures are punished for defiance. Random Events where royal governors are tarred/feathered and or chased out of their mansion
  7. A bill to give West and East Florida statehood, rather than giving West Florida to Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi In this situation, a bill to just have Mississippi get statehood rather than creating the Alabama Territory and making it two separate states
  8. So in the situation in where California is split into two states and the Missouri Compromise is actually kept, would the southern part of Nevada go to Arizona due to Nevada having to be split from its modern rendition?
  9. On the topic of "Banning Evolution", having the Supreme Court Scopes Trial or "Monkey Case" would be interesting to have, if it isn't already included.
  10. Creation of the National Park Service (Didn't exist until Wilson) Creation of the National Forest Service (Teddy Roosevelt) (Future Legislation) Turn empty Great Plains (because of depopulation/urbanization) into Great Plains National Park Maintain/Restore the Everglades (Climate Change-related) Establishment of Avi Kwa Ame National Monument/Park
  11. Privatizing space would be an interesting option, with either fake generated companies or real ones such as SpaceX. Also in relation to space colonization, there would probably be interesting questions such as "Can this space colony vote?". So bills or court cases relating to citizenship of colonies in Space would be another question. There is a scientific (and generally large) boundary against space colonization, with people potentially being born in space would never realistically be able to actually go on to Earth (because of their bodies being made/shaped by lower-gravitational force), so proxy voting for potential representatives, if such a space colony did become reality, would be a must. Also there is the issue of the "Moon Treaty". The United States legally cannot claim territory or make a state with any celestial bodies, as such bodies are international entities legally speaking. (So this may also apply to the Future Court Cases Thread/Future Executive Action to withdraw from the treaty)
  12. I'd assume something relating to the Antarctica treaty (unironically). As the ice melts on that continent, it is filled with a load of natural resources that I could easily imagine a more conservative president would considering exploiting. The treaty expires in 2048, so if the United States tried to exploit it for resources prior to that date, I'm sure such a case could go the Supreme Court and possibly overturn Medellín v. Texas if such a venture was found to be illegal.
  13. I saw on the list of Legislation that California can be split into 2 states. Can that relate directly to slavery or is that only triggered to very specific events? I know California's counties are actually respectful of the 36 30 line, so does California being split into two actually relate to that line? As for actual suggestions, (This would be more situational), but if the Missouri Compromise actually gets made permanent, then a bill for popular sovereignty for all new non-continental territories/states under that line (such as Hawaii) should be made
