Republican Debate Results:
At the request of the Rand Paul campaign, Fox News agreed to hold a surprise debate as Iowa draws ever closer. Due to the unofficial nature of the event, 2 candidates elected not to attend, those being Ben Carson and Lindsey Graham. Still, with most frontrunners on stage and the usual drama of the debates, millions tuned in. Here is how the night went.

Ted Cruz(5,10,8): +8. Senator Ted Cruz walked off stage knowing he had brought a victory home. Despite starting off with a bland statement declaring himself tough on immigration, Cruz would make the night his with a spellbinding appeal to evangelicals, rallying them as though he was Jesus Christ returned with a powerful call to defend Christian values in America. Ted would then go on the attack, hitting Rand Paul as an anti-war pacifist, unwilling to defend liberty abroad and "ready to surrender to ISIS as President", landing an effective blow to his competitor. Overall, a great night for Senator Cruz.

Carly Fiorina(9,4,8): +6. Carly Fiorina, mirroring her very first appearance on a Republican debate stage, gave a performance making her one of the winners of the night. Starting off with a passionate call for lowering taxes in America, declaring that everyday Americans simply can't handle the burden put on them by Uncle Sam, Carly would then go on to close with a successful and passionate appeal to the pro-life movement, giving an emotional speech on the subject of abortion, winning praise. Carly's only stumble would be attempting to attack Jeb! Bush halfway through the night. Seeming far less passionate and practiced going on the attack, Fiorina's attempts to assault the Bush dynasty would be easily handled by Jeb! Still, a strong and needed night for the candidate.

Jeb! Bush(8,2,9): +4. While not excelling to the extent of Cruz or Fiorina, Jeb! Bush delivered a solid night on stage which will only help his campaign. Bush would start with a well-delivered declaration posing himself the unity candidate of the divided primary, and would give a surprising but impassioned appeal to libertarians which broke ground with a group not initially receptive to Jeb!'s campaign. However, his performance would be dragged down by a fruitless attack on Trump as a racist, which would earn Bush Trump's mocking and derision to the laughter of the audience. Still, a good night altogether.

Chris Christie(5,9,4): +3. Chris Christie, while not upsetting the primary race with his performance, did reasonably well on stage as the night progressed. Christie would start with a rather bland appeal to establishment conservatives, however would earn his positive performance by once again taking on Donald Trump. While not as devastatingly successful as last time, Christie would still hit Trump hard over his mixed history of party affiliation and past ties to the Democrats, bringing down the frontrunner's performance significantly. Christie would then stumble through a message declaring himself the only candidate with the momentum to beat the Democrats, obviously tired from his attack on Trump, however overall the night was an acceptable one for the Governor, with a positive performance fought for and won.

Rand Paul(10,5,5): +2. Senator Rand Paul may have hoped to surge forward in the primary race calling for this debate, but in the end he failed to bring significant success on stage. He started off with extreme promise, calling for a continuation of the conservative revolution Ronald Reagan started, defeating the Washington machine and cutting taxes for working and middle class Americans. However, things would then get bland, as voters sat through an uninteresting appeal to the Tea Party and a heated exchange between Paul and Bush over immigration ending in an effective draw. Still, with his opening statement Paul looked as if he was going to walk away from the night with a strong performance. That was until Ted Cruz slammed the Senator over his anti-war views, an attack Rand would fail to cope with, leaving Paul with an only somewhat successful night.

Donald Trump(9,3,4): -3. While not suffering a disastrous night like last week's debate, Donald Trump didn't perform especially well at this debate either. He would start off well, raging against the establishment machine of Democrats and RINOs controlling America. However, things would begin to take a negative turn, with Donald failing to attack Bush by declaring him the swamp candidate, to which Bush would effectively push back, and openly calling for the "crazies" to support his campaign, though given the makeup of his base this wouldn't be too damaging. Trump would then suffer yet another assault by Christie, less damaging this time but still enough to drag down his performance, leaving Donald with a relatively poor night on stage.

John Kasich(2,1,4): -9. Widely declared the loser of the night, John Kasich stumbled from failure to failure as the debate progressed. He would start by stumbling through an opening statement declaring a Trump or Cruz nomination to be a dark turn for the party. He would do this sweating, looking back at his notes as he flipped through them on stage. And these notes would then become mixed up, as Kasich would then declare, attempting to court establishment voters, "We must bring a tax cut for gay marriage." He would then realize his mistake, apologizing for mixing up his notes before stating what he meant, a tax cut for the middle class, but the damage was done. And Kasich would then reveal why gay marriage was in his notes, as the obviously shaken candidate attempted to attack Ted Cruz for extremism on social issues to no success. Overall, a very poor night for John.

Rubio drops out and endorses Jeb!

Time to make 2016 what it shouldve been. 😎

Endorsement Roll: 7. Rubio's dropout certainly came as a shock to almost everyone watching the Republican Primary, including Rubio's supporters, and given Rubio's relatively sizable support it can be said that many of his supporters will disperse among the many contenders of the field. However, the majority will heed the words of their candidate, choosing to back who they feel is the last best establishment and moderate conservative candidate, Jeb!

Rand Paul Events

1. [Iowa] (Farmers) Rand Paul visits dozens of farms in rural Iowa, meeting with voters and speaking personally to their concerns.

2. [Iowa] (Nationalists) Rand Paul runs an ad campaign in Iowa emphasizing his firm stance against illegal immigration, opposition to the 2013 immigration bill, and pledges to beef up border security with a major reinvestment in the Mexican border patrol.

3. [Iowa] (Libertarians & Nationalists?) Rand Paul runs an ad campaign in Iowa announcing that he is the first candidate in the race to pledge to end the war in Afghanistan during his first term. Paul declares that he alone can make this pledge, and he alone can fulfill it, because America deserves a president who focuses on American issues, not on forever wars halfway across the world.

Bonus Debate: Rand Paul calls for an impromptu debate to be hosted by Fox News in Louisville, Kentucky, where all Republican candidates can debate the issues and get another chance to spread their message across the nation. Paul calls on every Republican candidate to attend, and asks Larry Elder to serve as debate moderator.

Iowa: 2. Instead of coming off as an approachable candidate, an everyman who can truly connect with voters, Paul will sweat and stiltedly speak his way throughout Iowa, coming off to voters as nervous and as though he's only giving off memorized lines as he attempts to connect with them on rural issues.

Iowa: 2. Not only is the ad bland and poorly produced, but instead of rallying border hawks to his campaign, Rand seems to have turned their ire against him with the attempted appeal, with MAGA protestors shutting down a planned event in Iowa with signs reading, "BUILD THE WALL".

Iowa: 7. Finally, something goes right, as a well-produced and successful ad campaign on the forever wars helps bring his father's old base and members of the America First movement to the Rand campaign.

Overall + Debate: -2. With only minor success on the debate stage, Rand Paul couldn't make up for an overall weak time on the trail, though no severe negative momentum has come Rand's way this week.

Graham campaigns in Iowa, talks about eradicating ISIS/ISIL

Graham campaigns in Iowa where he talks about his support for school choice

Graham campaigns in Iowa where he talks about eradicating Iran and invading Saudi Arabia

Iowa: 3. Voters will find Graham's ranting on ISIS to be off-putting, and many wonder if someone so hawkish really needs to be in the White House.

Iowa: 2. Graham will spend the entire event discussing how he supports "choice", never actually mentioning schools. While many attendees catch on to what the Senator was talking about, others leave the event thinking Lindsey Graham is the pro-choice candidate of the GOP primary on abortion.

Iowa: 2. Almost half the crowd at Graham's event leaves as he rants about bombing Iran to hell and running tanks through the sands of Arabia, with most of the remainder sitting in their chairs horrified by what they're hearing.

Overall: -8. Graham's Iowa campaign collapses amid hawkish statements and poorly delivered stump speeches, with the Senator taking a major hit to his small campaign.

Chris Christie, buoyed by support in New Hampshire, takes Trump to task in that state. He declares him an unserious candidate for President who will lose in the biggest modern landslide ever.

Christie heads over to Iowa, meeting in Des Moines for a potential endorsement by Sen. Ernst. He hopes to get his numbers up at least a bit in the Hawkeye State.

Christie ends the week in South Carolina, meeting with locals.

New Hampshire: 5. Christie fails to impress voters with his assault on Trump, with many preferring a more positive candidate in opposition to Donald's campaign of hate, though no notable damage is done by Christie's rhetoric.

Ernst: 6. Senator Ernst is somewhat impressed meeting with Christie, but refuses to give her endorsement up just yet.

South Carolina: 3. South Carolinians just don't seem enthused by the Christie campaign this week, with few appearing at the Governor's events and those who do show up to hear Christie unimpressed by his message.

Overall + Debate: +2. With moderate success on the debate stage, Chris Christie is able to prevent negative momentum from coming his way as the week ends. However, he also fails to gain serious ground in any state and comes short of grabbing Senator Ernst's endorsement.

On 3/29/2022 at 11:13 PM, Timur said:

Ted Cruz will campaign in Iowa. He will compare Rubio with the Democrats, mocking his support for raising taxes while supposedly being a Republican.

Ted Cruz will campaign in Iowa and talk to farmers. He will retract his previous stance against ethanol.

Ted Cruz will seek the endorsement of Governor Rick Perry

Iowa: 3. Many will criticize Cruz for going after Rubio for an obvious gaffe, especially now that Senator Rubio has left the race.

Iowa: 9. The change in Cruz's stance helps appeal to rural voters and farmers, and Cruz is able to truly connect with and market himself to voters as he campaigns across Iowa.

Rick Perry: 9. Perry endorses, giving Cruz positive coverage and boosted support in his home state.

Overall + Debate: +14! Cruz surges forward with success on the trail, an endorsement from Rick Perry, and a win on the debate stage, bringing life to a campaign that had appeared to be in a lull as January progressed.

1.Dr.Carson will seek an endorsement from Des Moines Register

2.Dr.Carson will rally evangelicals in NH emphasizing his strong social conservative agenda.

3.Dr.Carson will hold a roundtable with military Veterans in IA discussing potential ways to beat ISIS.

Des Moines Register: 9. The Register, after careful consideration, will endorse! This brings Carson a wave of positive coverage and a boost in Iowa.

New Hampshire: 2. Well, it should've been up to Carson's campaign advisors to tell him New Hampshire wasn't the state for unapologetic social conservatism, and voters in the state will be immediately turned off by the rhetoric.

Iowa: 6. The roundtable isn't widely covered, but it does provide Carson a small boost with veterans and those concerned by the rise of ISIS.

Overall: +2. Despite a bruising time in New Hampshire, overall, Carson's campaign moves forward with acceptable strength, and the Des Moines Register endorsement is sure to provide a boost in Iowa.

3. Fiorina will host a meet and greet in South Carolina to discuss a wide variety of issues, including ISIS and repealing/replacing Obamacare

Iowa: 4. Fiorina doesn't seem especially knowledgeable about agriculture laws, leading to a few mistakes in her speech on the subject.

Iowa: 10! The townhall will be packed with voters interested in Fiorina's campaign, and on-stage Carly will give a stunning breakdown of her successes at Hewlett-Packard, rallying voters to her side.

South Carolina: 3. Voters don't seem to be buying what Fiorina's selling in South Carolina, with the candidate seeming stale and uninteresting as she meets with voters and attempts to bring new converts to the campaign.

Overall + Debate: +8. In a far cry from last week's woes, this week Fiorina brings some strength to the campaign trail and significant strength to the debate stage, giving a needed boost to her campaign.

Chuck Grassley: 4. Chuck seems uninterested in the Jeb! campaign, stating that he simply doesn't plan on endorsing Jeb! at this time, though he leaves the door open for the future.

Iowa: 1! Jeb! will sit down with one elderly woman who states that she used to be a Democrat "long ago" before they infringed upon "states' rights", and now she is a member of a "third party". Jeb! will have a long conversation with the woman, smiling in a photo with her before leaving the center. It will only be after the meeting that the media picks up that the senior is actually a registered member of the American Independent Party and was a pro-segregation activist who left the Democratic Party to support George Wallace's 1968 bid for President. Jeb! will be put to the flames for his picture with the woman, of course.

Campaign Slogan: 7. The slogan lands well, with many fearing the Republican Party is morphing out of recognition and must return to a past moment of conservatism to lead the country forward.

Overall + Debate: 0. Despite his failures on the trail, Jeb! can certainly take solace and more from two successful endorsements from fellow contenders and a strong night on the debate stage.

New Hampshire: 6. On the other hand, New Hampshire voters seem more receptive to the anti-NAFTA rhetoric, as well as to the traditional Republican cause of lowering taxes.

Sarah Palin: 3. In a shock to the Trump campaign, Palin turns down the initial request for an endorsement, stating that she's still observing the field, though the door isn't completely closed yet.

Overall + Debate: -6. With an equally weak time on the campaign trail as on the debate stage, Trump continues to struggle as Iowa nears and the race continues to change in unpredictable ways.

Trump will again go to Iowa. He will visit wasteland and have a photoshoot of him looking at the dirt and scooping it in his hands. He'll claim these were once vibrant farms until immigration.

Trump will visit Trump Casino in Nevada. There he will make a million dollar bet, saying he is the only candidate willing to take risks. (He owns the Casino so he won't really lose anything)

Republican Debate Results:

On January 28th in Des Moines, Iowa, the final Republican primary debate before the Iowa Caucuses was held, hosted by Fox News. Along with the usual clashes and verbal sparring found on stage, the debate brought with it many surprises and is sure to impact the unfolding race for the Republican nomination. Here are the results.

Ben Carson(7,10,10): +12. Declared by most to have tied for victory on the debate stage, Ben Carson gave a strong and passionate performance connecting with voters in Iowa and across the country. He would start decently, presenting himself as the only candidate with concrete plans on issues such as ISIS and healthcare. However, he would then ramp up his performance significantly, tearing into a red-faced and defenseless Jeb! Bush as a "creature of the same establishment which lost 2008 and 2012", with Carson receiving wide applause from the audience for his assault on Bush. Carson was not done, however, closing the night with a passionate appeal to all right-of-center independents who have felt abandoned by the Republican establishment. Overall, a great night for Carson.

Lindsey Graham(10,8,9): +12. Lindsey Graham may be polling at the back of the pack, but that doesn't mean he can't bring fire and strength to the debate stage. Shocking voters with his performance, Graham would start off declaring himself the true conservative on the debate stage, passionately describing his record and status as the conservative bulwark of the Senate. Graham would then continue, pandering to conservatives with his record and Republican principles, and taking Donald Trump to task as a "false conservative" selling "snake oil" to voters, with a weak response from Donald. An unexpectedly great night for Graham.

Ted Cruz(8,6,9): +8. While falling behind the performances of Carson and Graham, Ted Cruz certainly did well on the debate stage, performing well throughout the night. He would start off with a strong promise to take on the "Washington Cartel" with real conservative reform in Washington, before shifting to a perhaps obvious but still somewhat successful pander to rural voters. However, Cruz's best moment of the night would be tearing into Donald Trump's inexperience, with Ted declaring that a "reality TV star is unfit to be President", slamming the frontrunner and boosting his own performance. All said and done, the night was a good one for Cruz.

Carly Fiorina(4,9,1): -2. Carly Fiorina may not have lost the debate, but she didn't win it either. She would start off with a vague message declaring herself to be a successful businesswoman, while also refusing to give any specifics of her success or even mention Hewlett-Packard in her resume. She would improve, however, appealing to working-class voters with an emotional and powerful statement. It looked like Carly may end up with a positive performance. That was until she decided to go after one Lindsey Graham, declaring his rhetoric on foreign policy to be "dangerous". Lindsey would then raise holy hell, slamming Fiorina as a "fraud and a fake conservative", tearing into Fiorina to the point that she left the stage in tears from the assault. With that, Carly ended the night with a negative performance.

Chris Christie(2,1,8): -5. Chris Christie left the debate stage knowing that while he was not among the worst performing candidates of the night, he had certainly not performed well himself. He would start off by declaring, "I'm a real New Hampshire guy. I love New Hampshire. New Hampshire is great.", going on for a full minute with statements such as these about how he loves New Hampshire in a cringe-inducing pander to those in the state. However, the worst moment on stage for Christie would be during his failed attack on Jeb! Bush. After declaring Jeb! has no original policy plans, only those borrowed from others, Bush would simply ask for one original policy from Governor Christie. Christie would then freeze, stumbling over his words as his face turned red. "Tax- no, abor- no no. I mean, I have real plans. Like... uh." Christie would mutter, before a full minute would pass, forcing the moderators to move on. Christie's only saving grace in the debate would be a strong message of electability and defending the Supreme Court through his election, however overall the night was a poor one for the loudmouthed Governor.

Jeb! Bush(8,5,2): -6. It looked like Governor Bush may get away with a mediocre debate performance. He started off strong, giving a loving and positive promise to "make Americans happy" as President. However, things would quickly go downhill. Jeb! would enter a prolonged back-and-forth with Ted Cruz, attacking the Senator as "Spineless", however neither candidate would gain an edge in the sparring. Then, Jeb! would call himself a "Middle-class person" receiving public derision after the debate for the statement. This blunder was combined with a lethal attack from Ben Carson and minor attack from Donald Trump to bring down Bush's performance, with Jeb! ending the night with a failure for a debate performance.

Donald Trump(2,6,7): -8. Donald Trump failures on the debate stage came not from his own statements, which would've given him an average night, but instead from merciless assault from two sides. Donald Trump would start the night dodging a continued request from Chris Wallace to give specifics on the jobs plan he touted right as the debate started. "Donald, please tell the American people what this plan entails, they deserve from the frontrunner." "No they don't Chris, you're fired." While the exchange would enthuse some in the Trump base, many others were not fond of Trump's behavior. He would improve, declaring Jeb! Bush to "Pee sitting down" in a surprisingly if still only modestly effective attack, and appealing to gun owners with strong rhetoric on the Second Amendment. However, the aforementioned attacks from both Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham would serve to truly make Trump a loser of the night, with Trump failing to respond to these attacks and the damage his performance down. Overall, a bad night.

Rand Paul(1,2,3): -10. Rand Paul may not have dropped dead on stage, but he sure wishes he did. He would start off miserably, declaring that he has the consistency, integrity, and grit to go into Washington, before suddenly freezing 10 seconds into his opening statement, scratching his head, and then asking for an aide backstage to give him the rest of his speech. After this horrendous start, the Senator would then stumble through a statement on reigning in spending and lowering America's public debt. Paul's confidence was obviously shaken by his previous blunder, and the candidate would accidently declare that, "We borrow a trillion dollars a minute",  leading to wide mocking and media fact-checking after the debate. To close his performance, Paul would launch an ill-fated attack against Chris Christie, attacking the Governor's support for the NSA wiretap program and infamous hug with President Barack Obama. However, Paul, already stumbling over his words from the shell-shock of his performance thus far, would fail to land his punches against Christie, with the New Jersey Governor responding viciously, saying, "I don't think someone who can't even remember a 30 second opening statement has any right to talk about my record or how to defend the American people.", effectively shutting Rand down. A miserable and failed night for Senator Paul.

Family Leader: 9. The Family Leader will provide its enthusiastic support and endorsement to Cruz, giving the Senator a boost among social conservatives in Iowa.

South Carolina: 2. Cruz will struggle in South Carolina this week, flubbing on multiple questions from voters and seeming exhausted by the pace of the campaign while visiting the state.

Overall + Debate: +8. While Cruz saw both failure and success on the campaign trail, it's his strong debate performance that renews his campaign's momentum and strength.

1. Christie will campaign in Manchester, New Hampshire, focusing on the idea of moderate conservatism and what he can bring to the table.

2. Christie will seek the endorsement of the Union-Leader, a major New Hampshire newspaper.

3. Christie will end his week in Iowa for one last rally, touting his experience.

New Hampshire: 8. Christie's rhetoric will appeal to moderates and those looking for an electable conservative, with many in Manchester impressed by Christie's knowledge of the issues and campaigning style.

Union-Leader: 6. The Union-Leader is receptive to Christie but declines to make an endorsement at this immediate moment, still observing the field.

Iowa: 2. Christie will quickly shut down a voter attempting to ask about the Bridgegate scandal, being criticized in the Des Moines Register for his skittish and harsh response to an issue he should be prepared to respond on.

Overall + Debate: -4. Christie finds meager success on the campaign trail and fails to bring forward a strong night on the debate stage, weakening his campaign.

Rand Paul Events

1. [Iowa] (Conservatives): Rand Paul runs an ad campaign pledging to Repeal Obamacare.

2. [Iowa] (Libertarians): Rand Paul continues his campaign in Iowa, announcing unequivocal support for legalization of marijuana and the abolition of civil asset forfeiture.

3. [Iowa] (Nationalists) Rand Paul continues his America First campaign, opposing excessive foreign aid and the forever wars in the Middle East.

Iowa: 5. The ad is produced with mediocre quality, and it fails to motivate many conservatives on the issue of Obamacare.

Iowa: 8. While Jeb! Bush is slammed for his new stance on marijuana, the issue is Rand Paul's bread and butter, with the Senator motivating his base and reminding libertarians who their candidate is while attacking Federal and state enforcement of marijuana laws along with civil asset forfeiture.

Iowa: 3. The ad is poorly produced, failing to convert many voters to Rand, and neoconservative backlash will attack Senator Paul as weak on terrorism.

Overall + Debate: -9. Paul didn't perform horribly on the campaign trail, but a disastrous debate performance brings significant harm to his campaign and kills any minor momentum he could've hoped for.

1.Dr.Carson will seek endorsement from IA Congressman Steve King

2.Dr.Carson will barnstorm every county in IA promoting his campaign as a bridge to unite GOP.

3.Carson campaign will release a plan to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with lowered Medicare age and limiting prescription drugs cost.

Steve King: 7. Steve King will endorse, talking about Carson as a champion for conservatism and a bulwark against liberalism and multiculturalism, providing Carson a boost among hard-right Iowa conservatives.

Iowa: 1! The task of touring all 99 counties will prove too much to bear for Dr. Carson, with the candidate collapsing while barnstorming in rural Iowa. Though Carson will shortly after be released from the hospital, the incident did nothing to help his campaign.

Carsoncare: 9. The plan lands with voters excellently, appealing to those upset with Obamacare and looking for a more conservative alternative which still improves America's healthcare system.

Overall + Debate: +13! Dr. Carson, despite his health scare, surges forward with a win on the debate stage and growing hope for a strong performance as Iowa nears.

Donald will travel to South Carolina. He will attack immigration and say he will create new jobs with his "Super, amazing master jobs plan".

South Carolina: 2. Well, Trump's jobs plan really does sound super, until a voter decides to actually ask for specifics on the plan. Donald will look at the floor, then look to his aides, before deciding to simply walk away from the voter, with many left feeling like Trump truly wouldn't know what he was doing in the Oval Office.

Iowa: 10! The photoshoot does what it needed too, rallying rural Iowans to Trump's campaign to defend their way of life against the hordes from Mexico.

Nevada: 5. Trump's bet will prove successful, but many people will brush it off as rigged and move on.

Overall + Debate: -6. While Trump actually did slightly better than most this week, a poor debate performance drags his campaign down as both Iowa and New Hampshire loom as challenges for the frontrunner.

Fiorina will visit Iowa to discuss abortion and bipartisanship.

Fiorina will outline a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare in South Carolina

Fiorina will host a rally in Reno to discuss economic issues.

Iowa: 7. Fiorina's time in Iowa will go well, with abortion motivating many Republican caucusgoers and bipartisanship appealing to moderates.

South Carolina: 3. Fiorina will flub on the specifics of her plan, causing many voters to shy away from the inexperienced and perhaps unprepared businesswoman.

Reno: 7. In Nevada, however, Fiorina will moderately impress voters with her knowledge of the economy and slate of conservative proposals to help it, boosting her campaign.

Overall + Debate: 0. Doing as poorly on the debate stage as she did well on the campaign trail, Fiorina's campaign stagnates as the bottom tier candidate looks for ways to break through.
