Interesting, I suppose V or someone inputting data put the wrong date in.

Huh, you're right. IRL the Constitution provides that Congress is to select what officer is next in line, so we should have some kind of succession law we can pass in the next era, hopefully. We'll need to work to clarify that for sure in the rules.

I'm working on the list of who are the electors in each state and should have that out momentarily. Every Kingmaker in every state gets a vote, and in states with no Kingmaker the governor gets to decide. This should be fun 😛

I tried to do some light research on what a contingency might be. The line of succession wasn't created until 1792 (though obviously, there was an incumbent VP that entire time). On three occasions, the line has been empty. When Zachary Taylor took office, the president pro temp was vacant and the speaker too young. There was no president pro temp or speaker when Chester Arthur took office and when Grover Cleveland's first VP died. But it doesn't look like there was any idea of what they'd do if the presidency became vacant.

NH (5j and RI (3) will cast votes for President Bartram and Richard Adams.

question:  Wythe does not show having any command?   Is that still a prerequisite for VP?

Does he not have it? I assumed he did for some reason… if not the only other option that Bartram would have picked was Washington as he chose to pick from the highest EV state with a preference for a faction leader.

Huh...I would've sworn that Wythe had command too, but it's not there on the sheet. Appears we were mistaken.

In this case, it's only fair to give @Alexander-Nicholas the option to be the nominee of Washington instead. However, if he declines I'm not going to go back and decide on a whole new nominee over again and instead just give the minimum 1 Command because it was my mistake. However, either way it shouldn't affect the election results. Tallying them now.

Final Results of the 1784 United States Presidential Election

RedModCPU President John Bartram: 66
@DJBillyShakes Postmaster General George Wythe: 40
@jvikings1 Secretary of the Treasury Thomas Jefferson: 25
@Rezi Representative Thomas Paine: 13
@Rezi Mr. Samuel Adams: 12
RedModCPU Richard Adams Jr: 11

President John Bartram handily wins reelection to a 3rd term going into the Age of Federalism! George Wythe (allegedly) becomes the 3rd Vice President in the game of musical chairs for the lower end of the ticket. Ultimately, there wasn't much the Blue Party could do despite their advantage in Kingmakers because of the lack of them in many states allowing Red Governor's to make the decision. It may be advantageous for players on either side to try to remove statesmen from the Backroom Politics career track early before the next election to try to lock down different states in a way that's insulated from electoral politics.

Bartram gains +1 Command (4 --> 5).

I'll calculate Governor & House elections now.
