Legis Props for years 2028-2048

So it seems like a lot of the Legis Props are going to be post-2048. That is, we were looking way into the future when we came up with ideas.

What are some legislative proposals that you think could be feasible in....

5 years from now. Compare the change in proposals from 2017 and 2022.

10 years from now. Compare the change in proposals from 2012 and 2022.

15 years from now. Compare the change in proposals from 2007 and 2022.

20 years from now. Compare the change in proposals from 2002 and 2022.

VA just announced today that they’ll start proving (medically necessary/rape/incest) abortions on VA grounds.  They used to send people out into the community for it, but that’s no longer an option in some states.

So maybe a law legalizing/banning abortions at Federally owned hospitals (VA and Dept of Defense hospitals)

Bans on multi-level marketing corporations

Regulations or bans on lootboxes (and classifying them as gambling)

Subsides for climate control technology

VR Pornography regulations

Abolish the IRS and implement a Flat Tax system (may already be in the game)

Eliminate the Department of Education and return education to the states

Allow "cross border" competition with medical insurance, i.e.-Groups of people can be from different states for the purpose of health insurance

Restoration of voting rights to felons who have "done their time"

Immigration reform- no instant citizenship.  New and existing immigrants must apply for citizenship and be tested before being granted the rights of being a citizen.

More money and funding to border protection to reduce the number of "got aways" at the border

Limit the power of state governors to declare states of emergency to a period of 90 days, after which the state legislatures have to approve the declaration

Increase funding to the VA to assist with high suicide rates among returning veterans

Federal block grants to historical preservation groups for protection of important areas of American history

Here's another thing to thinking about:

What will Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez propose in 2040?

What will Pete Buttigieg propose in 2040?

What will Marco Rubio propose in 2040?

What will Marjorie Taylor Greene propose in 2040?

What will Andrew Yang propose in 2040?

What will Tulsi Gabbard propose in 2040?

Let's say the Hispanic population grows significantly, what are laws that would benefit this specific demographic, assuming they seek things most White people don't.

What do you think will be the major issues in 2040? What are the various kinds of laws that could be proposed to deal with them, depending on the party in power?

For AOC, obvious answer is to dive into the Green New Deal.  https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/21/climate/green-new-deal-questions-answers.html

She wants the entire world to be zero-net carbon emissions by 2050, she wants high-paying jobs to be guaranteed, make clean air, clean water, and healthy food basic human rights.  End all forms of oppression.  Digitize the nation's power grid.  Upgrading every building in the country to be more energy efficient.  That's just a few things found in the link above.

("The Green New Deal" is basically just Congress saying that these are good ideas, but doesn't actually require anyone to actually do them.  So these future proposals could go item by item, turning into like 20-30 separate laws, that would actually be enforceable.)

Oh something I saw last night was related to public utilities

End cost of production payments to public utilities, incentivising repair, maintenance, and solar home grids

Enact/Repeal Net Metering (Funds payed to people who put their electricity back to the grid)

(For Texas) - Reform ERCOT to regulate rates of power.
