And...today we have reports of Russian defense lines in Lyman collapsing. Dominoes falling back in the opposite direction.

Lyman was taken the other day. Ukrainian forces now on the offensive in Luhansk against Kremmina, Svatove with an end goal of liberating the northern Luhansk region as well as the Severodonetsk/Lysychansk area. Northern Donetsk is now back under Ukrainian control.

Interestingly, today we're hearing news of a breakthrough in the Kherson area in the south. (These are largely reported from Russian Telegram channels and translated by different sites) Ukraine already advanced south to Dudchany, where Russian defense lines failed for a second time. Now they are making way for Beryslav, which is right beside the city of Nova Kahovka. This is thought to be helped by the fact Poland donated over 200 tanks a few months back and there were reports they were seen near Kryvyi Rih (which is located near the area). Russian forces are in retreat in the northern part of the Kherson region.

There have been reports of explosions all the way down in Sevastopol.  Russian media says it was lightning.

Russian media would piss in your mouth and tell you to stop drinking rain water. Interested to see what other reports describe the explosions as.

It appears Ukraine is responsible for this explosion that killed 2 or 3 civilians. Is this a war crime?

"A legitimate military target is an object, structure, individual, or entity that is considered to be a valid target for attack by belligerent forces according to the law of war during an armed conflict."

Russia has destroyed plenty of bridges in the war as well. They're legitimate military targets due to their strategic importance. Funny that you aren't noting the blatant missile strikes by Russia on playgrounds and apartment buildings, which are not legitimate military targets.

Indeed, and ignoring this law is why not only Putin, but Netanyahu, Blair, Erdogan, Bush, Obama, Trump, Modi, Assad, Mohammed bin Salman, and a few others, of living people who hold, or have held head-of-state roles, and their relevant subordinates, all are deserving of facing war crimes trials - on that matter, alone. Thank-you for this one!

Ok thanks

You're very welcome, Dobs. I'm sure, as a proponent of justice, yourself, you agree that laws - local, regional, national, and international - should not be applied selectively or under bias, when possible. That undermines the validity of the legal framework, and those who enforce and adjudicate them. But we all know that, right?

yes
