Free Speech Approval Poll - The Golden Rule

boll. Just wondering what the consensus was on how myself and the moderators as a whole have handled the balance of free speech on the forum, which I enshrined as the golden rule of the forum. Please be honest and as always, stay based.

I tried to make the wordings as unbiased as possible but it's always possible that my personal bias may have slipped through. If the choices above are not satisfactory let me know and I can add a specific one for you.

We made clear rules ahead of content moderation that posts could be deleted if they crossed a line - that's the whole point in why it was set up. In response to no provocation or post, Patine, you have continually insulted members of the forum for no reason other than a long-standing grievance. I made the call and invited moderators to reverse it by copying and saving the content to be posted if someone decided to overrule me. They did not.

This is the list of things you've said to us (in response to no post or provocation of our own).

"when I was ridiculed and mocked, those who did it had no responsibility or blame - it was my sole responsibility to change - are obviously, as base sentiments, such disgusting and reprehensible ideas that ANY good or decent person with any ethical fibre would have called them out vehemently in utter contempt and disgust, and vcczar would have driven to only speak again in the most despicable sites of ill-repute" - said that people have disgusting and reprehensible ideas and insinuated that the moderation team were not good or decent people and without ethics and implied that a member is despicable and has an ill-reputation

 "But, those who made the emojis above are new, and have fallen for the toxic PR, hook, line, and sinker, but the ones I am indicting for their abusive, toxic community know what I say to be completely true, even if they are neurotically incapable of admitting it, and must destroy all of their integrity and become horribly abusive and toxic because they are too juvenile and mal-adjusted to accept their own responsibility and consequences for their abuses and toxic behaviour on such a casual and low stakes environment as this forum" - said that members of this forum are abusive and toxic and neurotically incapable of admitting faults. Also said that they have no integrity and are again, abusive and toxic, as well as juvenile and malignant for once again, their abuses and toxic behavior.

Such an action will only vindicate me, and prove me correct, even if deluded members of vcczar's cult of personality are unshaken)." - said that we are Third World despots who have jailed someone for offending people, as well as dictators and thin-skinned and called members of the forum similar to Anthony and minions, as well as equating them to PoliPundit and accused a member of having a cult of personality and deluded.

I have already explained to you, as well as Dakota has, that vcczar has no say in your moderation and that we have made those decisions myself. I reiterated that myself today when I made the decision to delete this post of yours for the many offensive actions that you took against members of this forum. Moderation is not here getting paid, not here to bask in our own righteousness, we are here to have a nice atmosphere and keep the forum on a right path. For any who doesn't want to read the above text, this is a categorized list of what was accused

My patience is shot. Anyone's would be. There are no secret posts out there of mods saying anything else. What you all see out there, forum members, is all here. In response to exercising our ability to content moderate because of past statements, this is the slew of insults that was hurled at us and members of the forum. No post, no nothing. Only my statement above and vcczar's one sentence thing posted Sunday. 

There's no need to cause a scene. No one provoked you. A slew of insults over one post, a sentence, and deletions of insult-laden posts. Anyone can see for themselves here what's gone on. Moderation will take additional steps from here.

@PatineWell, now that you’ve revealed your true colours as an enemy of justice for all, an enemy of accountability of Government, an enemy of the rule of law, an enemy of opposition to ALL abuses, atrocities, and crimes of state by ANY Government, an enemy of you Republic, Constitution, nation, and the principles it was founded, and - yes - an EXTREMIST because of this, I will now treat you as what you have unveiled yourself, here to be, in debate, and I enjoin everyone else on this forum who has any sense of reason, ethics, justice, and moral fibre, to do the same. You have just outed yourself as the unhinged extremist trying, in vain, to do it to me - because ONLY an unhinged extremist would possibly support the ideals you’ve admitted to — and all the monstrous consequences that come of it - as being not only acceptable, but right...

I want to say it's been about 5+ months since I gave up on any attempt to have a rational conversation with Patine. I'm pretty sure he thought I didn't have it in me, as most of his insults in the past were directed at me, not V and the moderators like it is now. But nevertheless, I don't know what's in store for the future, however, I want to tell you Patine, that I hope you get some help some day. I hope whatever causes you to act like this gets addressed in a positive way. I believe in second chances, I believe people can change. I used to be a very toxic person in the past and for that I am ashamed, it's something I'm pretty open about outside the forum actually.  You may still think I am, and that's fine. But the worst of what you saw in me was only a reaction to you. I hope one day you'll look back and just see what a needless clown show all of this was, and I hope one day you'll realize that we're all humans who are different, we may disagree, we may not even like each other, hell, borderline hate each other perhaps. But we're not evil. You're not evil. I'm not evil. I'm not in a cult. I've been a part of this community I've come to love for the last 2 years.

On the note of change, I fear that the many times it's been attempted concerning your behavior here has failed. It's clearly evident. It's caused arguments not only between you and the forum, but among forum members in general. There's people here right now that aren't you that I perhaps am not so fond of. It's a human thing after all... But you know what's the difference? We move on. We carry on. You just can't let it go. The period of your ban was the most peaceful the forum has ever been since it's existed. And I'll end it on that note.

Aside from my one sentence in this thread, I don’t think I’ve directed a single comment at him directly or indirectly since he returned from his previous ban. 

As much as I’d want to celebrate his ban by responding to him in kind, I won’t do that. I won’t patine Patine.
