Hestia Posted October 13, 2022 Share Posted October 13, 2022 Previously undisclosed footage was shown today at the January 6th hearing which showed Congressional leaders and their responses to the attack on the Capitol. House Speaker Pelosi was the backbone, calling the Virginia governor for the National Guard, speaking with the Secretary of Defense, the Vice President, and the Attorney General. In inspiring (and shocking) footage, Republican and Democratic congressional leaders huddled together while they pressed the Pentagon for support at the Capitol. Seen in the shot were Senate Majority Leader Schumer, House Speaker Pelosi, House Majority Whip Hoyer, as well as Senate Minority Leader McConnell and Senate Minority Whip Thune (I believe Scalise may have also been there but it was less clear). In one shocking exchange with an aide at the onset, Pelosi is seen in an undisclosed location speaking. The aide says: "Everyone on the (House) floor is putting on tear gas masks to prepare for a breach." Pelosi: "They're putting on their..." Aide: "Tear gas masks." Pelosi: "Can you believe this?
