A call to the office reached a voicemail system inviting 11th District constituents to leave a message, saying a staff member would call them back. In Hendersonville, the district office with Cawthorn's name and the House seal on the door and window was dark and locked. Rooms were empty of furniture and cleaning products could be seen on a counter. Calls to the Hendersonville and other district offices reached voicemail or were disconnected. He just abandoned his constituents. He has a job for a couple more months in DC. They're going to be voting on things. Also, at age 27, how can he afford a $1.1 million dollar place? Presumably he has a home in North Carolina too. A US Rep doesn't make enough money to do that unless he's funneling in cash another way. Also know he was into cryptocurrency during his term (Congresspeople shouldn't be able to own crypto or individual stocks anyways IMO), and he also owns a family real estate company I think. ConservativeElector2
Too bad how he has turned out. When I first read about him years ago, I thought what an inspiring young man he is. Despite being young he was politically engaged. And while being bound to a wheelchair he overcame these challenges and made something out of his life. He seemed to be the perfect rolemodel for future generations to come. And now we are here knowing the things that surfaced.
