In nearly every case, I prefer the left wing 3rd party candidate to Carter but vote for Carter to prevent the Republican nominee from winning. I'll always be a preventative voter until we get ranked choice voting or something like that. The only left wing 3rd party from this list I wouldn't support is Eugene McCarthy. After he lost the nomination for president in 1968, he kind of just lost any reliable principles. At one time or another he was extreme progressive, then Libertarian, and then supported Reagan over Carter, and then was a left wing independent again in 2000 (or about then) when he ran for president again. He may have been the Dem nominee if RFK didn't jump in the race to split the anti-establishment vote.

Is the question about our vote of who we think would win?

Because I would vote Carter each election obviously, this man got a terrible time in office but the whole human rights would be far more improved world wide if he had kept being president and using the US influence to this end like he did during his 4 years.

Now do Carter vs whoever the Dem nominee was for that election (if you can afford the time).

I might do it tomorrow if not. Very curious what the results would be for people like McGovern, Biden, Kerry etc

You can make it.
