AMPU: 1948 Playtest - The Nuclear Age

Honestly I don't think Kingmaker is op. For every great roll you have 4 kingmakers with no traits, no interests and 1 bad XP (take a look at my crowd in the 1916 playtest). I have something like 6 Kingmakers of them 1 will give pretty amazing rolls most of the time (William Jennings Bryan) , 1 is a high risk high reward ( Bill Haywood who can give stuff like Controversial or Iron Fisted etc) and 4 who really give nothing bar the election boost and maybe an XP .

So question, I am looking ahead planning my next moves.  Currently my faction has (at least I assumed Taft, Dirksen, and McArthur as faction leaders).  But the rules say only 1 faction leader?  Or can I have more?

So you can only have one faction leader at a time and there are pre-requisites for who is eligible (ideology, interest, exp, traits, etc) From a quick glance at your sheet, and you may want a Red to double check, I believe your only eligible option for Faction Leader is Robert Taft.

So since it's the weekend, will we do more steps and perhaps faster?  Would love to see 1950 start on Tuesday  🙂

Love the enthusiasm but not likely to see 1950 elections quite that fast.  I will be part of that problem this weekend as I work a split double shift tomorrow so not likely to be able to make much progress until Sunday afternoon. But the rest of the week after that I should be good.  I will get us to the next phase before I go to bed though.

This is the first playtest I have been a part of that I did not have the military-industrial card. This is very new to me so I may still declare war on a sovereign nation by force of habit.

All you want to do is reform education. But can't make up your mind. Was public now private.
