Dobs events

1. Dobs can see the underhanded tactics are...working? Despite his personal affinity for staying above the fray, he knows in order to stay in the race, there has to be more attacks made on the frontrunners, Ackerman and Pringles, in order to get himself back into the race. He has Liz Cheney give a speech in Virginia attacking Ackerman's Trump connections and say that he will not be able to win a majority of the populace. There is notable quiet about Pringles, on the other hand.

2. Dobs himself stays above the fray in a meeting with pro-life advocates in Indiana, where he styles himself as a compassionate conservative come again, presenting a meeting of the minds of both conservative and moderate Republicans.

3. Dobs has supporters of his campaign run dirt on the Democrats in the race, presenting them as all far-left radicals who have become detached from the moderate sections of the party and that none are capable of taking on Ackerman or Prongle.

Endorsement Request: Chuck 'Pidgin Man' Grassley

1. Rezi will begin airing Ads throughout the West Coast and even the Rockies where he talks about his plans to implement legalized marijuana. Including a tax on marijuana and other legalized drugs that will be used to invest in strong domestic programs. And to finally oppose the new "Trojan Horse" TikTok Bill that could, "Become worse than the Patriot Act." With low poll numbers, Rezi has nothing to lose in attempting to court the sparsely populated Rockies, which are more libertarian-minded than the rest of the country.

2. Rezi will continue his feud with Governor Kathy Hochul. This time going on MSNBC to attack the leading Conservative candidate Ackermann (CE2) and Hochul's hint of willingness to endorse him. "Governor Kathy Hochul has no business even meeting with Ackermann and should be ashamed. This is not only a betrayal of the Democratic Party itself but a betrayal of the values we stand for. Ackermann must be stopped in this election, and then Hochul must be next, or else!"

3. Rezi heads back out to the Midwest, specifically the Rust Belt, continuing his Fast Food style of campaigning. He pushes a "Midwest Revival," and talks about how Establishment Democrats have neglected them which lead to the rise of Trump. Rezi promises to bring the "Labor Democrats" back in full force and simultaneously, says very nice things about Senator Sherrod Brown...

Endorsement Request: This low in the polls, Rezi may have a chance to reignite his support by going for none other than a man who many consider one of the last true "Labor Democrats": Sherrod Brown.

1. Sean will launch an aggressive appeal to rail workers, speaking at rail yards across the country to deliver seething rebukes of rail companies and the Biden Administration. "As President, I'm not gonna bend you over so that your fat cat bosses can fuck you! No, because my name isn't Joe Biden, and I believe that if the working people of this country, in any occupation, need to stand up and strike, then we should let them and cheer 'em on! When I'm President, I'm not going to break a single strike, and I promise that I will fight for the abused, overworked, and underpaid workers in rail and every other industry in this country!"

2. Following his recent comments on punching Vladimir Putin, Sean is emboldened to support Ukraine further, taking a surprise two-day trip to Ukraine to demonstrate his solidarity with the country. For the first day of the trip, Sean will tour Kyiv, meeting with Zelensky and other Ukrainian leaders to pledge "endless American support" to the country upon his election as President. Then, for the second day, Sean will go where the action is, meeting with Ukranian soldiers along the frontlines to encourage them, learn their stories, and highlight the ordinary people who are fighting for their country's survival in the war.

3. Sean will return to the states, now seeking to shore up his support among progressives. Holding a rally in Los Angeles, Sean will deliver a fiery restatement of his progressive values, couching his usual class-conflict and pro-working class stump speech with commitments to passing Medicare for All, raising the minimum wage, and legalizing marijuana as President.

Endorsement: Sherrod Brown.

1. Barb will campaign in Boston emphasizing his support for a more progressive tax system. “Many people reminisce about the 1950s and 1960s I mean look at the tax rates! Life was good”

2. Barb will travel all the way to Los Angeles where he will campaign with Mark Hamill. He will claim at a rally “If elected I will close Guantanamo bay, just to put the minds behind the sequel trilogy there!” Barb will go on to tell the audience how Disney ruined Luke’s character in the sequel trilogy.

3. Finally Barb will attempt to meet with Sean, Rezi and Mishfox to help unify the left wing voter bloc.

endorsement: Bernie Sanders

1. 7 - Barb’s nostalgic progressivism is a hit in Boston, and will help him among left-wing voters.
2. 6 - The crowd doesn’t quite get what Barb is driving at, but Hamill is a hit!

3. 4 - The meeting falls through, no harm no foul, but the lost time will likely still hurt him on the campaign trail.

Endorsement: 4 - Bernie politely declines, saying he wants to wait and see which Progressive candidate pulls in front before making an endorsement

On 4/11/2023 at 3:09 PM, Rezi said:
  1. Pringles and Governor Henry McMastuh hold back-to-back rallies on the same day, one in Greenville, SC and the other in Greenville, NC. Here, Pringles will emphasize his commitment to getting things done. "Lemme tell ya somethin'. There is nothin' in this world that I love more than seeing some good ol' bipartisanship to mend the bridges, rise above the rabble, and change this country for the better. We as a nation truly think that we're more divided than we actually are, because the media and social media heads want you to be angry at each other, want you to think that we can't work together. Why? Because it helps their bottom line. Now nobody blames 'em, they're just trying to make a profit, but we as a people have to come together and be above all that nonsense. And Congress has proved that it can be done. We had that bipartisan infrastructure bill, we had a bipartisan bill to protect our electoral process, we bolstered our manufacturing of semiconductor chips. And folks, I know that these bills weren't perfect, but good Republicans and Democrats came together and made 'em happen. Good men and women, like Senators Moore Capito and Murphy, I recall having a large part in these negotiations. If you elect me, my number one goal will be to pass as many bills like those as possible. I want us to heal the divide that's permeated through American society and get things done that we can all sit back and say "you know what, I think that just might help us." So we encourage y'all to come out in November and vote for Prongle, because above all, I will get things done."
  2. Pringles will release his first waves of ads across the Southeast, blanketing Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia. He uses this to play up his experience as a good ol' southern boy, featuring him at a barbeque in a small, rural neighborhood. Holding a Bible in one hand while flipping steaks in the other.
  3. Pringles will set up an interview with Chris Wallace.

Endorsement Request: Lindsey Graham

1. 3 - The rallies are swarmed by Trump supporters who scorn the message of compromise, and bipartisanship.
2. 6 - The ad campaign is fine, competently made, and raises Pringles name profile, which is enough to gain at least a few votes

3. 5 -The interview fails to leave an impact with voters one way or another.

Endorsement: 3 - Lindsey does as he is want to do. He gives Pringles his endorsement, then takes it away, then gives a muddled half-endorsement before pretending like he doesn’t know who Pringles is. Ultimately the endeavor is a bigger headache than it’s worth.

LaGuardia is a nice airport. In fact, a lot of people seem to recognize me. Hmmm....

1. Mish will embrace the paparazzi and campaign inside the airport, he wouldn't be the first guy to try something like it.

2. Mish leaves and enters the vast world that is the borough of Queens. Lot to do here but Mish takes public transportation over to the neighbourhood of Jackson Heights where he holds a stump rally hoping to boost his credentials in an area ripe for the taking.

3. Immediately after the rally Mish will traverse the streets of Jackson Heights hoping to build on his momentous rally.

Endorsement: Taylor Swift

1. 5 - The paparazzi’s obsession with invading the private lives of public figures seems to extend to politicians as well. Mish is bombarded with photographers everywhere he goes, but thankfully nobody goes to TMZ for political insight.
2. 9 - The rally is a success, and proves Mish isn’t just a West Coast Wonder.

3. 3 - The tour of the neighbor is decidedly less so. By that point the Jewish community has caught wind of his presence, and had descended upon the neighborhood in protest of the candidates accusations of anti-Semitism.

Endorsement: 9 - Huh… Mish actually gone, and done it. He has obtained Taylor Swift’s endorsement, and to make matters even stranger… it’s working? Swifties are now decidedly in his camp, and are pushing his campaign as aggressively as they promote Taylor’s music.

A New Demographic

"And you're certain that this will work?"

"Positive, Mr. ConservativeElector2."

"Don't call me that, comrade. You're in for the long haul now. Long live the revolution."

"Uh... yes... exactly, Mr. SocialistElector2."

And with that, it was official. CE2 recorded a video of himself lip-snycing to a BTS song and posted it on TikTok, trusting the algorithm to bring his face to younger voters and to convince them that his brand of compassionate conservatism is the right step forward for this country.

Throwing Out Feelers

The goal, lest it be forgotten, is not simply to win the presidency, but to change the trajectory of this nation as a whole. No longer shall the proletariat live in the shackles of their oppressors, not if Mr. Ackermann has anything to say about it. It seemed a crazy idea to craft a public image the way he has. That of a traditional conservative, a traditional member of the Republican Party. However, deep down inside he knew that the American public are not ready to elect the type of leader that they need and deserve.

However, the transition must be one that is as seamless as possible. There needs to be some indication, to a careful observer, that CE2 is not just a traditional conservative. All the great flip-floppers like Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang had parts of their platform that indicated a break from their party or expected political beliefs, and this difference, populist in nature, was enough to later become part of a grander justification for a shift in ideology.

With that in mind, the decision is simple.

CE2 will be appearing on the Tucker Carlson show, and discussing the automation of American jobs. He will take a decidedly pro-worker stance that we must protect American jobs from automation and from employers using technology to replace the average hard-working citizen. After all, it's a stance Tucker himself once took to the surprise of many.

New York City

CE2 hosts a non-traditional rally in New York City, inviting any politician from the state who would like to participate (outside of Rezi) to participate in "non-political debate" where the only rule on stage is that you have to debate something that is NOT political.

Endorsement request: Hochul, again.

1. 3 - The video is certainly making an impact with young voters, but not a positive one. Ackerman is quickly turned into the subject of mockery on TikTok, hurting him with counter voters. At least you’re being followed on twitter by K-pop Stan accounts?
2. 7 - Tucker - and his audience - is quite receptive to your pro-worker turn. Tucker even compares you favorably to Theodore Roosevelt once the segment is over.

3. 4 - The event is a flop, but probably won’t hurt the campaign too much.

Endorsement: 4 - Hochul declines, again.

Endorsement Request: Chuck 'Pidgin Man' Grassley

1. 4 - The underhanded tactics seem to have lost their luster. Cheney’s speech is seen by many as too negative, especially for one targeting a fellow conservative
2. 3 - An argument quickly breaks out over the ethics of rape and incest exceptions to abortion bans, and quickly devolve into sour grapes between the the two camps each one blaming the other for being too extreme/too moderate when it comes to abortion.

3. 7 - The attack sticks, mainly because it’s true, all of the Democratic candidates in the race are significantly to the left of the party base.

Endorsement: 9 - Pidgin Man endorses you whole heartedly! His endorsement is sure to help you among rural voters, conservatives, and people who hate the History Chanel!

1. 3 - In fact he did have something to lose, it seems. The campaign budget is stretched too thin to play the ad in the more populated media markets, and so it’s only shown to rural voters in the western US, many of whose are quite traditional in their outlook.
2. 4 - Those who listen agree that you have a point, but the problem is most people have tuned you out since you called Hochul Himmler

3. 1 - It seems economic anxiety may not have been the main thing which fueled Trump’s campaign. The tour has to be cancelled after the first stop when your campaign bus is vandalized by some old men in white pajamas who break your windows, smash your headlights, pop your tires, and paint offensive slogans on the sides of the bus.

Endorsement: 2 - Sherrod openly says that he will never endorse you for President, and to add insult to injury he announces that he is making an endorsement the very next day

1. 8 - Sean’s caustic attacks on the Democratic establishment is met with excitement from blue collar workers across the rust belt, even as suburban democrats remain tepid about his campaign.
2. 4 - The visit fails to make the news in America, and Sean’s absence from the campaign trail naturally leads to a small dip in the polls

3. 4 - The rally lands with a thud, the same rhetoric that appeals to out of work machinists in Ohio just doesn’t seem to land with the various yuppies, creatives, and entrepreneurs who call LA home.

Endorsement: 7 - Sherrod Brown eagerly endorses Sean’s campaign, and makes sure that Ohio will be voting Kennedy in 2024

For the first half of this week, I thought we'd be in for a boring round-up - boy was I wrong! Let's took a look into the headlines before we dive right into what has been one of this campaign season's defining months.

(Barb: 88) - Jacobin: With Progressives In Turmoil, Is Barb The Left's New Hope? Mark Hamill Certainly Thinks So.

(Mish: 25) - The New York Times: Mishfox's Struggles Continue, New Screenshot Shows the Candidate Calling African Americans 'Low-Information-Voters'.

(Pringles: 11) - The Hill: Is Pringles' Calls for "Boomer Genocide" Disqualifying for a Major Candidate?

(Rezi: 51) - Teen Vogue: In Defense of Rezi, his Campaign is Highly Entertaining

(Dobs: 18) - Salon: Is Dobs Secretly a 20 Year Old Troll From Baltimore? This Twitter User Thinks So.

(Sean: 5) - Washington Post: Don't Be Fooled, Sean F. Kennedy is Cut From The Same Cloth As Trump

(Christian: 3) - Drudge Report: Is Chris Ackerman A Secret Communist? Inside His Relationship with Caleb Perry

How about that? All three of our major front-runners have been rocked by a major scandal after a mediocre week of campaigning. Pringles is hemorrhaging Old Voters, always a critical demographic for conservatives, Sean is hemorrhaging middle-class Democrats put off by his many superficial similarities to Trump, and Christian, my god, he's losing Conservatives like an ice cream in Arizona, and it's not like he's gaining any favors among the left! That's not to mention Dobs, who's being dragged through the mud by the Liberal media, despite a strong endorsement by Chuck Grassley. This has the possibility of radically altering the race as we know it, Pat, your thought?

Patine: This just goes to show how dangerous the Doblets are to Democracy, and how ill-advised it was to ever allow them to run in the first place!

Well, I'm sure some people would agree with you on that right now, Pat. But how about that Barb, eh? He's the big winner in all this! He's had a solid month of campaigning, and many are starting  to see him as a potential new standard-bearer for left-wing voters. With Sean's collapse his chances of making the second round has become that much better, but with Mish having a relatively strong week of his own, minus more trouble from his past being unearthed, it's still anyone's game.

Patine: That's the silver lining in all this, Barb is undoubtable the most tolerable Doblet. Maybe if he wins he'll convince the others to repeal my ban from the forum?

I doubt it, Pat. Rezi's avoided calling any politicians Hitler this month, so that's a step in the right direction, but his campaign has been attacked by, what I have to assume are the people upset at him for comparing Hochul to Himmler because they think that makes Himmler look bad. All our hearts here at DHNN go out to Rezi, you election woobie.

Patine: I'd like to make it clear that my heart does not go out to him!

Duly noted Pat, but my hearts go out to him, at least. Shorter round-up than we usually like to deliver, but we here at DHNN hope you've enjoyed, and doubly hope that you'll tune in for the Presidential Debates, hosted exclusively on DHNN, Your Home For Political News. Let's go to Liz with the polls.

CE2: 15%

Pringles: 14%

Sean: 14%

Barb: 8.8%

Dobs: 4.2%

Mish: 3%

Rezi: 1%

Undecided: 40%

(I'll dm each of you your debate questions this turn, impact will be part-effort, part-dice roll, so take your time, do your best, and have fun! I understand that this turn may take a bit longer than the prior three because of this.)

1. Barb feels momentum behind his campaign, so he’ll try to build off of that, he will travel to Baltimore, Maryland where he will state his support for expanding the social safety net. “Instead of subsidizing multinational corporations we need to subsidize the American people”

2. Barb will instruct his followers to remain cordial with supporters of other candidates, (especially Sean, Mishfox and Rezi) due to odds of Barb possibly making the second round going up.

3. Barb will hold a rally in Michigan meeting with union automakers stating his absolute support for unions.

Endorsement: Ed Markey

1. Mishfox will take a gamble and do a show of force, campaigning in majority Jewish neighbourhoods through Queens and into Brooklyn. No better to make amends than to show your face right?

2. Mish stumps his way through Brooklyn, meeting with folks and ending off with a big rally.

3. The guys at Mishfox headquarters begin to invest money into social media outreach, hoping to build up Mish's cred with younger voters.

Endorsement Request: Bernie Sanders
