Orion Moreno, who led the Enclave Remnants in the Second Battle of Hoover Dam in the victory against Caesar's Legion, has some thinking to do. 

At first, Orion was aghast when the Courier asked that he put aside his hatred of the NCR and fight with his old enemies. All would serve valiantly and make amends with the New California Republic, however begrudgingly it may have been. 

Now? Captain Orion is considering a run for office. He's an old and anger filled man, but he likes to believe he's tempered his rage and reformed after the victory over Caesar. It may be time for Captain Orion to plant the seeds for a future of the Enclave in the Mojave Wasteland, as futile as it may seem to be now. If there's one thing the Courier taught Orion, it's that his resentment had clouded his judgement for too long. The movement must be built - and the Enclave must return. 

For the time being, Captain Orion will run without any Enclave talk to begin with. He needs followers, and his admirable performance at the Battle for Hoover Dam may be just enough to set the stage for the old soldier to win over those not satisfied with the NCR or Mr. House, those who want a candidate not affiliated with any major faction. The words he'd spoken to the Courier once ring true still; ""Back then, it was war. If we'd been on the winning side, I'd be called a hero." Now, Orion stood on the winning side crowned a hero. Can he be the candidate that the Wasteland desires in the wake of the Courier's decision to not run?

Time will tell. 

(14) Orion Moreno has a good launch and hopes to make the Republic of the Mojave similar to the Capital Wastelands years ago until a certain vault dweller ruined those plans.

1. Arcade Gannon is standing in a tent in the Old Mormon Fort. In front of him lies his father's old Enclave power armor. State-of-the-art, modified with blue and orange energy capacitors jutting out, yet still rugged and tired looking. A symbol of the might and power of a dead empire, and a reminder of the family history Arcade has fought to avoid and overcome. He believes he's surpassed the legacy of the Enclave, of his father. He's spent years with the Followers, the true heroes of the wasteland, trying to bring knowledge and aid to the people. But deep down, he knows the truth. The truth that he's still running from the legacy of his father. There's a reason he's keeping that old suit around. But he suppresses this knowledge. Because in his view, he's overcome his family's history, and he's going to make sure no one can ever question that again when he's elected President of New Vegas. The wasteland is sick, full of broken people, tyrants, and death. But he is going to be the one who sets things right, at least in the Mojave. Because any pain or toil his father and predecessors caused with the Enclave will be dwarfed by the freedom, success, and growth he brings to the Mojave. He will step out of the tent, and will give a rousing speech to his fellow Followers, promising a program of universal healthcare under his Presidency, where every settlement and population center will provide medical care and resources free of charge, paid for by taxes on the casinos of Vegas and carried out by the Followers and a new array of doctors/medical professionals who will begin training on day one of his Presidency. He will be the one who saves the Mojave Wasteland. 

 

2. Arcade will propose the creation of a Bank of the Mojave, an institution giving power to the new government as it can effectively manage and stimulate the economy of the nation, helping provide monetary and economic stability to the people.

 

3. Arcade will promise that under his Presidency, small towns and local areas will have their independence and autonomy respected. Sure, he thinks, this may lead to a more disorganized process for preventing crime, a nation with many different areas pulling at each other for land/power using their autonomy, and a weaker central government, but freedom and liberty are important values, and he isn't some Enclave soldier like his father, is he?

Race for Republic of the Mojave in full  swing 

As we now have our candidates the citizens of the Mojave see a battle of two titans in General Lee Oliver General at the Battle of Hoover Dam which saw the fall of Legate Lanius and now the new front runner and Robert House a towering icon of the Strip, meanwhile 4 other candidates seek to break out and capitalize on the two front runners’ potential weaknesses. Orion Moreno seeks to get the law and order vote, Arcade Gannon has Freeside on lock, especially with the support of The King himself, meanwhile Jeannie Crawford of Novac looks to capitalize on her discrimination against Ghouls, and finally Easy Pete of Goodsprings looks to run a grassroots campaign portraying himself as in touch with the people. There are numerous individuals and factions in the Mojave that can shape this race.

Mr. House will approach the Kings with a business offer. They clandestinely harass the NCR farmers near New Vegas, and in exchange House will outfit them with top of the line weapons, and armor, the best money can buy.

House will then turn to the Omertas. He offers the Omertas forgiveness, and immunity from being tried for their treasonous support for Caesars Legion, if they swear loyalty to him, and continue to harass the NCR.

House will order 10 of his securitrons to capture the Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters. With its bottle cap press, its the closest thing to a treasury capable of printing money in the post apocalyptic Mojave. If he controls it, House reasons, he would hold a sizable chunk of the money supply in the Mojave, and be able to further his control over the economy.

Orion and his dead friend's son are jockeying to be the favorite of Freeside and the outskirts of New Vegas. How crazy can life be? While Arcade Gannon is committed to putting the past of our nation and the Enclave behind the Mojave, Orion is committed the Enclave. The Enclave are responsible for horrific crimes against humanity, and soldiers just following orders isn't enough to absolve those who carried out those crimes of their guilt. For Captain Orion to ignore those atrocities would be horrible. Orion and his remnants have proven to the Mojave that change is possible. 

Ultimately, Captain Orion and the Enclave remnants have nothing but respect for Arcade Gannon. @The Blood Orion stands for the Enclave's redemption, while Gannon stands for their repudiation. And there are reasons for that. While it frustrates him, Dr. Henry, Daisy, and Kreuger to not have Mark's boy at their side, Arcade's reasons are his own and his independent candidacy will be treated with nothing but respect. Orion's Enclave intends to turn over a new leaf and become the Enclave that the Mojave deserves - not the one it has experienced. 

Captain Orion will request a meeting with Arcade in the Old Mormon Fort. On the way there, he and his merry band of Enclave members will talk to the members of Freeside on just why Orion's government would best serve the interests of the wasteland. (Rally - Freeside. Also potential non-aggression pact with Gannon if desired?)

Event 1: Crawford holds a rally in the middle of Novac, making sure that none of the residents even think of voting for anyone other than their dear leader.

Event 2: Crawford goes throughout the Utah territory, talking about how it might not be a bad idea to just slaughter ghouls.

Event 3: Crawford goes to New Vegas and tells the city folk there that they aren't worth anything and need to elect her to make New Vegas a real settlement.

1. Arcade will accept Orion's offer for a nonaggression pact, holding a rally in Freeside to commemorate the event. However, a part of Gannon is distraught, deep-down. Distraught that the remnants, as much as he respects them, think they have a right to rehabilitate the Enclave. An organization which has haunted Arcade for years. The Enclave was a fascistic group fighting with genocidal intentions, a group which is tied into Arcade's very DNA. And now? The remnants think they can "reform" it. They can't. Arcade is out in the Wasteland getting laughed at for his banking proposals and getting rejected for proposing a basic message of freedom. He is the one fighting for the Wasteland. Not a group of washed-up soldiers, as good of friends they may be, trying to build a new, improved, "good" version of the Enclave. Arcade is the one fighting for the Wasteland, not them. And as many hardships Arcade may face on the trail or when accepting offers such as this, he knows that he will be the final victor. He has to be. Because if not, then are those idiots laughing at a sensible banking plan truly representative of the Wasteland? Can he truly never escape the legacy of the Enclave if he isn't able to accomplish victory in this race? And is there any real faith one can put in the Wasteland after it rejects you?

 

2. Arcade will propose the new Mojave Dollar, designed to slowly take precedence over the cap and allow for the Mojave at establish itself as a nation with a stable and independent currency. 

 

3. Arcade will propose the creation of the Mojave Troopers, a small standing-army which will be tasked with defending the new Republic.

 1. (20!) The Kings graciously accept the offer, they clarified that whether Mr. House or Arcade Gannon wins it’s a victory for Vegas.

2. (4) Not only do the Omertas not accept but word gets out that Mr. house try to establish a deal with them which hurts Mr. house is standing to the citizens of the strip.

3. (3) Mr. House’s securatrons are destroyed by the fiends. One of the securatrons screens are sent back to the Lucky 38 with a message of “get fucked” - Driver Nephi.

2. (9) unfortunately the retaking of Helios one is protested by many citizens of Novac who block NCR soldiers at the entrance.

3. (3) Many citizens of the Mojave begin to question Oliver’s commitment to actually provide policy that makes their lives better and not just practice theatrics.

this week the two front runners of the race have taken a hit in their support, meanwhile while the two candidates with the enclave and their background begin to rise in the polls, meanwhile both Jeannie Crawford and Easy Pete our building support in the less populated areas of the Mojave. Time will tell whether the trends of the race will continue this way, in an unexpected announcement the courier has announced that he will be announcing his endorsement, Although he has stated it is unlikely he will endorse in the first round of voting that it is not impossible though. Other figures across the Mojave wasteland are also offering their endorsement to candidates who try to appeal to them or the citizens around them.

Fiends attack Goodsprings and Primm citizens of them have a look to their candidates

Driver Nephi the loan surviving leader of the scenes has been terrorizing the citizens of Goodsprings and Primm. Many of the factions in new Vegas are outraged by the attack and the citizens all across the mall have a look to the candidates for solutions to the threats like the fiends .

Mr. House will send a garrison of Securitrons to Primm to protect against the Fiends, and hopefully give him a boost in the polls.

He does the same to Goodsprings.

He also sends some more securitrons to secure the Sunset Saparilla Hedquarters, but this time he also hires a few top of the line mercenaries to help his robots capture the factory.
