Brooke runs a series of ads attacking Richard Nixon and promoting himself in Washington D.C.

Brooke does well in the interview with Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs Appearence. It's probably due to the fact that Barbara Walters has been spinning news in is favor.

Ed Brooke wins Massachusetts and Washington D.C. The last minute ads and the endorsement by the Washington Post and Herald helped him win D.C. narrowly. (He beat Nixon by only 22 votes)

In a stunning upset, Eugene McCarthy has won Massachusetts. Robert Kennedy ended up in third place. He only got 16.1%.

Channing Phillips scored a victory in Washington D.C.

Humphrey's fundraiser helps him with his campaign greatly.

Humphrey's interview where he discusses civil rights goes well. He gives a good speech on defense spending, but his opponents successfully spin it against him.

Nixon and Reagan also give speeches on Civil Rights.

In a strange turn of events, Barry Goldwater has endorsed Ed Brooke.
