vcczar
Which president would you be most eager to see in a mini-series? This might be an odd choice but I think James Buchanan would be informative and interesting.
Pringles
Quite a few. But I'd love to see a Nixon series.

I like Anthony Hopkins as Nixon and All the Presidents Men. Haven't seen the others because I've heard they arent the best. I love movies like Vice. Although, movies similar to that but less on the comedian narration of it. 😛
Zenobiyl
William McKinley. He’s extraordinarily underrated, mainly due to Roosevelt overshadowing him. 1

MrPotatoTed
William Henry Harrison. Youngest of 7 children to a prominent Founding Father family, drops out of med school with no money because dad died, serves as aide de camp to General “Mad Anthony”, Northwest Indian war, secretly elopes after his beloved’s father refuses their engagement, leads the Army in the War of 1812, gets major victories but is betrayed by the Sec of War, has 10 children (plus possibly six more with a slave), Leads an invasion into Canada, kills Tecumseh in the Battle of Tippecanoe, Advocates for westward migration, frontier politician, Reluctant Governor of the Indiana territories, the only man in America liked by both Adams and Jefferson, has a falling out with Jefferson who turns on Harrison over the issue of slavery, elected to the Senate, his son dies, serves as first Ambassador to most of South America and is horrified by conditions there, defeats the incumbent President of the United States, announces a HUGE agenda as the first Whig President, he’s at the center of the major dispute between Clay and Webster... And all just to drop dead within 30 days because he couldn’t be bothered to wear a jacket. Its an amazing story.

Rezi
Polk deserves it. Fulfills all his campaign promises and more and then doesn’t run for re-election, what better a story is there?

America is a better place because James Polk won, and not Henry Clay. 😛

WVProgressive
I'd say U.S. Grant, and his presidency are in serious need for some more appreciation, so he'd be a great candidate for a mini-series.

His presidency is fascinating. So many things almost worked out for him only to fall apart due to circumstances beyond his control. I firmly believe that the leak of the Ostend Manifesto was the point at which the Civil War became inevitable.

What did you think? I really enjoyed it, but it was more than 10 years ago so I wasn't as informed on that era back then. I've been meaning to rewatch it now but haven't found the time yet.
