Ok.  Reminder to all the candidates to read the rules on the election (I’m at a restaurant right now so can’t really rewrite them right now.

Jefferson and Washington both start in VA.  Clinton and Jay both start in NY.

If you have an available move, you must take it (can’t pass).

Keep in mind there are certain cards that might help you — check your hand.

Order is @Magnus Rex Washington, @ConservativeElector2 Jay, @Pringles Jefferson, @ConservativeElector2 Clinton.

We open with @Magnus Rex.

I've color coded on the main google sheet tab for ease of reference.

Gray:  This state does not exist.
Red:  This state has already cast both ballots, and therefore no other statesman can claim it.
Orange: This state has cast one ballot for Washington, but still has one ballot left.
Yellow: This state has cast one ballot for Jay, but still has one ballot left.
Green: This state has cast one ballot for Jefferson, but still has one ballot left.
Blue: This state has cast one ballot for Clinton, but still has one ballot left.

Can't get there yet.  You have to move to a connected state.  MD or the Carolinas (they're merged as a single state on the map)

Oh, Maryland then.

All of New England is merged into a single state on the electoral map (main tab of the google sheet).  But yes, valid move for Clinton to claim New England.

@Magnus Rex

Yeah I figured that out, because I struggled to find Nebraska there 😉

Anyway it's good to point it out 🙂

At the end of the first round, our current electoral count is...

George Clinton: 50
George Washington: 33
Thomas Jefferson: 33
John Jay: 27

As a reminder, whoever gets first will be President and whoever gets second will be VP.  However, as sitting President, Washington is not eligible for VP so if he finishes second he will retire and there will be no VP.
