Far-Right or Far-Left? Really could go either way with a target like DWS. Will be interesting to see more details forthcoming.

I'd assume Far-Right since it's at Pride, but who really knows at this point. More attempts like this have been rising in the last few years (Jan. 6 obviously, but the baseball field with GOP lawmakers, and others that I've forgotten).

My thought as well, but it could just be the first time she's really been in public and vulnerable. Like I said, will be interesting as we get more details.

I remember her also being the target when there were explosive devices frequently being mailed to various celebrities and news agencies back in the pre-COVID times a few years back.  I publicly theorized the bomber would end up being from her congressional district, because she was the least famous person targeted by far -- for someone to know who she was at the time, you'd have to be deeply involved in Democrat politics or simply have her as your Congresswoman.  Sure enough, the guy they finally caught turned out to be living in a Trump-themed van in her congressional district.

Was she the intended target, or did she just happen to be in the path of some anti-LGBTQ type plowing into a Pride Parade is another interesting question to ask, thinking like a detective, and not jumping to conclusions immediately? The Mayor says she was the intended target, but I'm curious as to his source of info. Understand, please, that I'm not at all trying to dismiss the very real possibility of her being the target, just pointing out it may have been an anti-LGBTQ, "hate run," she was just in the path of.

She was barely missed, so I think it could've been both, actually.

An unfortunate soul. No man, woman or child deserves the pain of an attack on them over something as trivial as their sexuality. May the attacker rot for his actions and serve as an eye opener for many unfortunate souls following down a similar path of hatred.

It appears the assertion that the even was an assassination attempt or an attack on the parade might have been premature. Just another example of why it is important to avoid jumping to conclusions when facts are not completely out.

Deadly Pride parade crash was 'tragic accident,' police say (msn.com)

I didnt jump to any conclusions. That's why it said apparent and more details were set to come. Glad that it wasn't either of those things, unless something else changes again.

I wasn't referring to anyone here necessarily. More so, members of the media/politicians (who have a bad tendency to jump to conclusions based on first assumptions).

Media gets money based off emotional reactions so no surprise they jump to conclusions.

"Is it too much to ask that the news media resume reporting the news,"

Even people one fundamentally disagrees with occasionally produce very valid and poignant quotes. I can even think of one or two each by Hitler and Stalin, in fact.

Not you likening your level of agreement with the leader of the UK Libertarians to Hitler and Stalin.
