This draft might be the last hurrah of moderate Republicans. Pompeo might have a higher value if he more strongly considers running for president.

I’m surprised you don’t tolerate Klobuchar. I actually like Huntsman and Baker. It was just that one draft didn’t have any GOPers that seemed likely to do anything for poor or disadvantaged people.

I do tolerate Klobuchar. But again, as we've discussed, toleration and desirability are differnet points on the spectrum.

Kemp is probably my second choice, but maybe because I don't know enough about him.  I thought he would be a crazy die-hard Trumpist, but after seeing an interview with him about Covid (where he was sensible), and the fact that Trump denounced him, makes him my second choice. Also, he would be fun.
