I've deleted the personal attack and will delete the posts attached to it. For future reference, if one thinks that one might be a "bigot" or a "piece of _______," then think of a neutral, less toxic way of implying it in such a way as it doesn't come off as a personal attack. Personal attacks are not allowed for whatever reason. An example, instead of accusing a person of being something. Say, "I think a there's a segment of American culture that are homophobic pieces of ____. That are the cause of _____________." While one might have a user in mind, the anger is directed at a segment of the population and not the person. In fact, it's not entirely clear if the user the drew the ire is included in this, such as it is phrased.

But when you have people disregarding human life in their rush to bomb a quarter of the globe, I am not going to give you that courtesy regardless of the principle they stand on. Yes, his policies make him a bad person and his status as a vet does not cover up that. And if the vet card is going to be used to shield him, then his experiences have been brought into play (though not by the ones criticizing him or his atrocious record).

I'm sorry, but if you think politics make people bad people, then you're too beyond the pale. There's a thing called disagreeing with respect, and unfortunately, you don't have it.

The disrespect of human life is something beyond politics. And I will not disagree with respect with positions that disrespect human life.

I can respect people Like Bernie Sanders for standing on his principles and being open and honest about them when it comes to his socialist positions. However, warmongering does not fall into that same category.

That doesn't give him carte blanche to use anti-Asian slurs for the rest of his life.

An important clarification is that he wasn't referring to just Asians in general. You can disagree whether it's appropriate (personally I do), but he was referring to his guards specifically. What you say makes it seem like he was using it against any Asian he came across.

"I was referring to my prison guards," McCain said, "and I will continue to refer to them in language that might offend some people because of the beating and torture of my friends."

Sorry, but if he was tortured by Koreans, and said some nasty things about Koreans after that, I'll just let him go.

(BTW, I'm sure Koreans have said, and will say a lot of negative things about the Japanese. For example, I'm sure a lot of them are favorable to the US dropping nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.)
