Bill Cosby is out of jail.

I haven't really followed the Cosby case. I don't find trials--especially celebrity trials--very interesting. I'm inclined to believe that celebrities and wealthy people get off easier than most others, especially much poorer, obscure people.

Reminds me of OJ's trial. This is screwed up though.

Blame the prosecution for completely botching the situation/case. Their lack o attention to legal rights has allowed him to walk free. Though it was absolutely the correct decision. Everyone deserves equal protection under the law (even the worst of the worst) or no one does!

But the very worst of the worst in the U.S. are being given blanket immunity for political and corrupt reasons, and not even indicted or seriously investigated. Why was there no The People v. George W. Bush?

The justice system is far from perfect and certainly needs reforms. However, in this case, the proper outcome came about (even if it leaves justice unfulfilled). The prosecutor needs to be held accountable for his botching of the case (and the resulting outcome of letting a likely guilty man walk free).

They're very different.  The OJ trial was always going to be tough for the prosecution to win.  With no murder weapon, no witnesses, no fingerprints, and cops & labs that can't follow even the most basic standards for evidence handling, there's really no way to prove he did it.  Add in the LAPD's long history of racism and the result is really no surprise.

Cosby was a slam dunk case the prosecutors gave away with a short sighted deal.

Obviously morally, he did it and should still be locked up for a long time. However, the prosecutor is an idiot and blatantly violated his fifth amendment rights. Sometimes the wrong thing to do morally is the right thing legally.
