I would just go to a place that gives out vaccinations if you ever get even an hour's time away from them. Percentages tend to get bigger when the amount of data in a statistic becomes smaller. I'm more concerned with the case count. My biggest concerns are regarding the long-term effects of mRNA vaccines on the human body, and how the distributers of these vaccines cannot be held liable for any long-term damage until FDA approval (which may never happen). People forget mRNA vaccines are still very new in medicine, these COVID vaccines are the first to ever be licensed for human use in history. If there does happen to be a problem with them, it's not like I can just unvaccinate myself. These very well could be the new "mesothelioma" commercials 40 years from now. I'm young, fit, and healthy and until the manufacturers can be held liable, I'll take my chances, there's so few cases nowadays that I'm not likely to get it (I work in pharma so I have to wear a mask anyways most of the time), and even if I do get it there's a 99.9% chance I'll be okay. And like I mentioned in the other thread I am not an anti-vax person. I'm not 100% opposed to getting it eventually. I love vaccines, I think they're great and contribute to increased lifespans and lower mortality rates, but the ones I've received have decades of study and have been FDA-approved. By December 26th, I had a sore throat and a fever, which I assumed were just side effects. Within a week, I'd lost all sense of taste and smell -- sure enough, I tested positive for COVID. But despite the fact that I never quarantined from my family, and indeed my daughter was sitting on my lap sometimes while I was coughing (because it never occurred to me at first that I might actually have COVID), my wife and daughter never got it from me. Likewise, my own symptoms were very mild despite having a few co-morbidities that should have made it worse. So while the timing was a lucky coincidence, the fact that I got the first dose of the vaccine just days before becoming symptomatic with COVID may have saved my life and almost certainly protected my family even though they weren't vaccinated yet.
