If I were in a state where the outcome was 100% certain, then I might vote Cornell West for president. If all the nominees were tied, and my vote would name the new president, then I'd vote for Cornell West. In a battleground state or near-battleground state, I'm voting Biden without question, as a preventative measure to stop the GOP.

If my options are Trump and Biden, I am almost certainly voting for Manchin, though this is less certain than if Hogan were leading the No Labels Ticket. Larry Hogan is just about my dream candidate, and could not in good conscience pass up an opportunity to vote for him. I also very much prefer Joe Manchin to all the other candidates listed and believe we would make a much better President than either Trump or Biden (by a lot), but there is less certainty of my vote for Manchin than there is for Hogan, though it is highly likely.

If it's a battleground state, I'll vote for Biden reluctantly.

For the other two, Manchin all the way. Given the status of my own state, I think Manchin would manage to eat more from Trump's vote than Biden's (I can't imagine Manchin pulling huge amounts of African Americans from Biden down here, who largely make up Biden's vote share.) If it were even equal, Manchin. He'd be a better President than anybody on that list.

If my vote would determine the winner of the election, and those were the only candidates I could vote for I would probably vote for Biden in both scenarios. I have serious policy disagreements with Manchin, and the other four just aren't cut out to be President, though maybe I could vote for Oliver if the two previously mentioned candidates weren't there.

On the other hand, if my vote was worthless, as it usually is, then I would have a harder time coming to a final decision. In that situation I could see myself voting for anyone other than Donald Trump or Joe Manchin, though I'd probably still vote for Biden.

Biden's term has made me pretty exhausted, It made me have a realization that it seems like leadership in the Democratic Party fights harder for things more openly when the President is in the opposition party , Me and my friends have realized this as well- This term we had a failure of retreat from Afghanistan, Lost Dobs, and Lost student loan forgiveness because Biden basically had no backup plan (and they practically admitted that before the decision, I know he announced a new plan but that is absolutely not even close to the same.), So yes as somebody who has been volunteering every single election for Democrats since I could vote, I'm exhausted, I'll vote Democrat downballot except Cornell West. My second choice would still of course be Biden.

Biden has had way to many things that have just sat with me the wrong way (his opinion on abortion publicly AFTER Dobbs, as we are fighting to protect abortion rights, going back on drilling in the artic, etc.)

I would literally vote for any other Democrat (Except of course like RFK). Even though I know it also doesn't matter, I'm voting for Williamson in the primary.

What do you think Biden should've done differently about Dobbs and student loan forgiveness, given that the Supreme Court is out of his hands?

Also the best part of Biden's student loan plan still went through, I think (capping interest such that as long as you make your monthly payments your balance doesn't go up, therefore preventing the runaway balances that we've seen many people suffer from). That part of his loan plan was infinitely better than blanket debt forgiveness during an inflationary period.

He could have gotten Congress to pass debt forgiveness but didn't work with them when the Dems still controlled the House. You've got a point on Dobbs though. Not much he could have done.

tbf, he did run on codifying Roe v Wade (as did Obama and I wanna say Clinton) but even with a trifecta, he never put effort behind it.
