Sol Bloom of NY was one of the few Jewish Congress people of his time. Not captured in his actions was that he was surprisingly not all in on allowing mass Jewish immigration to the US when Nazi Germany was active. By the end of the war, he was a Zionist, however.

His actions:

Bloom, Sol 1939 bill to repeal arms embargo
Bloom, Sol 1939 Influential House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair. Served through WWII
Bloom, Sol 1940 Major role in Lend-Lease Act
Bloom, Sol 1945 delegate to UN conference In SF
Bloom, Sol 1948 Lobbied for Truman to immediately recognize Jewish state of Israel
Bloom, Sol 1948 Role in securing approval for Truman Doctrine and Marshall Plan
