vcczar
James M Cox is most known, if at all, for being the compromise nominee in 1920 for president. Scholars seem conflicted on naming him a liberal, moderate, or conservative. He wasn't as liberal as Wilson and nor was he nearly as conservative as John W Davis, next election's dem nominee. He was more progressive than any Bourbon Democrat. I'd say moderate-to-liberal is probably the appropriate range for him. His actions: Cox, James M 1918 Gov of OH strongly supporting of both prohibition, women's suffrage, and Wilsonian foreign policy Cox, James M 1919 Supports a brief movement that sought to ban the German language from being taught in schools Cox, James M 1920 Dem pres nominee on 44th ballot (w/ FDR as VP nom) Cox, James M 1924 Dem pres cand Cox, James M 1933 Appt by FDR as a delegate to the London Economic Conference

Pringles
It's funny how I actually know a good chunk about him. The reason why? I played him in a geopolitical roleplay many, many years back before I came to the community... and I was playing him as President of the US after Wilson.

Pringles
Just now, vcczar said: What was this geopolitical roleplay? Roleplay groups used to be a huge thing on Steam believe it or not. Tons of people would have their own government simulators, and war roleplay groups based on playing games like say, Total War... kind of like how you see people doing it through Discord servers today concerning government sims. Steam groups were one of the OG iterations of such activities.
