Roget Taney drops out after the returns show Randolph ahead, and endorses the democratic ticket. @WVProgressive

”Randolph is a good white man, and he will stand up to the nonsense of Betsy Ross and the radical left. I will continue to fight for the disenfranchisement of all women and minorities, because I am a faithful conservative. See you all in 1824!”

Justice Andrew Jackson calls for the banning of women from elected office, and voting. He requests that both nominees in the spirit of bipartisanship take this pledge.

@ConservativeElector2

@WVProgressive

Roger Taney goes even further, supporting giving slave owners extra votes for each slave they own, and transferring women’s votes to their husbands.

George Jones supports this idea, noting that he’d be one of the most powerful voters in the country. He also goes further and proposes banning women and colored people from all government offices, even unelected.

Roger Taney loves this idea, in fact he loves he so much he also proposes banning women and colored people from reading or writing!

Justice Jackson is reportedly very pleased with the brightest minds of America expressing their ideas on the women problem. He says George and Roger are Supreme Court material.

Radical Federalist Harrison Gray Otis marks his disagreement with Taney that the Federalists are all for women. He proposes an amendment in the senate barring women from running for office or even voting at all. @ConservativeElector2 (die roll, please).

Harrison Gray Otis disagrees. Even though he might not support people of color running for office, banning it might be a step too far.  He suggests however that a candidate must be literate & college educated in order to run.  He also disagrees with giving slave owners extra votes for each slave they own because it would favor the South too much.  However, transferring women's votes to their husbands may/may not be a possibility. However, he suggests that banning women from voting will be enough.

Looks like Bushrod Washington will finally make it to the nomination unless someone makes a final vote for Clay.

Harrison Gray Otis questions the logic of Roger Taney. "Will Roger Taney willingly ban his daughters from reading or writing?"

Harrison Gray Otis also suggests that the Federalists could consider holding a "national convention." He suggests Hartford, Connecticut as a possible location.

Roger Taney is so horrified at Randolph picking an anti-slavery VP that he declares he will oppose both major party nominees. Instead, he will run as a write in candidate on the State’s Rights Ticket. Any who wish to support Taney can write in “Roger Taney” on their ballot to cast a vote for a true conservative candidate. (Meta: Just comment “I Vote for Roger Taney” or something to that effect).

Justice Andrew Jackson expresses utmost disapproval in the choosing of Martin Van Buren as Randolph's running mate. He invites Taney to be his running mate on a "Jacksonian" ticket.

Jackson/Taney 20!

Protect the white mans right, and get rid of the damned womens rights!

Secretary Jones will back a Jackson/Taney ticket, and will begin sending orders to soldiers in the south to stand on guard.

Randolph offers to change his VP pick to Andrew Jackson if Taney, and Jackson end their Prudential bid.

Taney requests Randolph to pledge to ban women and minorities from ever holding any political office.

Secretary Jones requests that he be promoted from Secretary of War to Secretary of State in the Randolph administration, to make sure that the Jacksonians have adequate representation
