vcczar
Sen. Jake Garn (UT-R) was one of the key GOP Senators during the Reagan-era. He spent over 6 days in space and got comically space sick during the time. As a joke, they made a Garn scale of space sickness. 1 Garn was the lowest level, and I don't know what the highest level was. His actions: Garn, Jake 1979 opposes SALT treaty Garn, Jake 1981 Influential Senate Banking Committee Chair. Served during the bulk of Reagan - Reaganomics Garn, Jake 1981 against MX missiles in Utah Garn, Jake 1982 Garn-St. Germain Act deregulating savings & loan industry Garn, Jake 1985 1st sitting member of Congress to fly in space
