vcczar
Bob Graham (D-FL) was often considered for VP, most likely because of the importance of the state. Had Gore picked him as VP, he probably would have won the 2000 election. This probably also impacted Kerry's consideration. The only thing I remember about Graham is that when he was running for president in 2004, during one of the debates, he mentioned how he had never lost an election in his life. Obviously, he lost that election. His daughter, Gwen Graham, was a US Rep and was the 2018 candidate for Gov of FL. His actions: Graham, Bob 1988 Considered for VP by Dukakis Graham, Bob 1992 Strongly considered for VP by Clinton Graham, Bob 2000 Strongly considered for VP by Gore Graham, Bob 2001 Influential Senate Intelligence Committee Chair. Early War on Terror Graham, Bob 2002 Votes against War in Iraq Graham, Bob 2004 Dem pres cand; considered for VP by Kerry
Euri
Over on the Campaign Trail game, every time Bob Graham is an option for running mate his description invariably amounts to “He’s popular in Florida” Edited October 31 by Euri
