Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris?

It seems like a lot of people dislike both of these women--All Republicans or right-leaning independent and some progressives.

I picked Hillary Clinton mainly because she’s accomplished more. I kind of view them about the same. I’d say B- for both of them. Obama is a B+ or A- for me. Biden is a B to B+. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are both  A. No A+’s.

How is Bernie an A or A+? Everyone else you listed has done much better. Bernie has one of the shittiest attendance records in the Senate, and only like 7 of the bills he's written have become legislation (two of which were to rename postal offices in Vermont), and few to none of his goals have become legislation so you can't say he's been an effective messenger either. He also folded and endorsed the establishment puppet both times he lost the primary (albeit 16 was rigged against him). I've never got the Bernie hype tbh.

Also I voted Hillary because I'm worried about what'll happen to me if I didn't (trolling). I agree that she's accomplished more. She's also much more popular. Kamala wasn't even popular prior to her nomination. She almost lost the AG race in a statewide election that saw other Dems win +20% margins. She also laughs like a serial killer.

I actually like Kamala too, but not more than Hillary. To borrow Vcczar’s letter grade analogy, Hillary’s probably an A, or at worst an A- while Kamala is a B or B-

He and Warren are A’s because they propose or advocate things I agree with 98% of the time. I don’t see him endorsing Clinton and Biden as caving. He made the high integrity choice of helping to defeat Trump. 

That he hasn’t been successful in passing his landmark proposals isn’t a big deal for his legacy. For example, I wouldn’t mark down an abolitionist who died or retired before the Civil War just because they weren’t successful in freeing enslaved people. He or she was unsuccessful because the Congress was filled with a bunch of F, D, and C grade people.

I voted Clinton over Harris because I have had more years to get used to her. But honestly, they seem to be almost the same sort of person personality-wise. I think my problems with Hillary stem from the fact that she carpetbagged to NY to run for Senate and that she flip-flopped on every issue to climb the political latter. Not unusual for a politician, but I still don’t like it.

Harris hasn’t earned her place as VP- and I would say that regardless of who she is. There is a trend among both parties to pick a candidate to energize the base. Biden chose Harris because he needed a woman of color. McCain chose Palin to energize the religious right. Trump hand-picked Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker because they were celebrities. The list goes on…

Finally, both candidates are cringey. “Pokémon-Go to the polls” and awkward Dr. Evil laughing are usually what I think of when Clinton and Harris come up.

What really makes me disappointed by this is the fact that there were so many other, GOOD options for Biden. Susan Rice, Tammy Duckworth, Val Demings. All women of color who had more qualifications, likable or pragmatic personalities, and all 3 aren't very controversial politicians. I really just can't stand this thing of picking less than 1 term Senators for VP. It's annoying.

All better options than Harris but Rice brings back Benghazi (dumb but people will still latch onto it) and Demings probably annoys progressives more than necessary given the environment at the time. Duckworth really was the perfect choice tho

I'm guessing they realized Ron DeSantis would find ways postpone or delay any special election indefinitely to keep the much needed seat empty.  Besides, you don't want to put someone valuable at VP.  You want them in a job where they can actually do something.

Come on man! Respectfully, there were several other candidates who could fit that profile who were outside of Biden’s self-admitted limitations. If you wanted a “budge jumper of the highest order” then Eric Holder would have been a better choice, not the Senator who encouraged folks to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.
