In two weeks the primaries will be held in both parties for a special election to fill Sec.Fudge's seat in OH-11th congressional district. The candidate who really stands out in the crowd for me and the one who deserves a win is Nina Turner. To everybody who followed Bernie 2016 and 2020 campaigns this should be a well known name.Nina is a passionate fighter for what she believes is right and is absolutely what America needs in Congress. She is fighting for justice and equality and doesn't let big lobbies and campaign contributors change that.I know some of you might wonder why i,the guy from Vermont even care about elections in OH-11th,well i do cause we need more leaders like Bernie, like Warren, like AOC in Washington and Nina is the one like them.Another reason why i like Nina besides the ideological alignment is that she speaks her mind ,i know this term was hijacked by MAGA crowd to describe Trump's neofascist statements but Nina speaks her mind and that is what Democrats need right now.We need a fighter, and Nina is that fighter and that is why she must win on August 3rd.

Go Nina!

I'm aware of who she is in the sense that she is a Bernie supporter, but that alone isn't enough for me to be favorable or unfavorable.  Of course, I'd take her over any Republican these days -- but I'd also say that of a ham sandwich, and I don't even like ham.

I saw her speak in Philadelphia. She introduced Bernie Sanders. She's definitely in Sanders's orbit. I'd be shocked if she ever became anything more than a US Rep in Ohio.

I see her as having potential as a progressive firebrand but i agree she might be limited due to some explosive remarks like "half bowl of shit" thing.I prefer her to AOC and the squad as progressive standard bearer though.

I generally like her, but she needs to be better. She opened a lot of Bernie speeches in 2020, and she is a fiery speaker. If the progressives want someone to go out there and fire up the base, invoke emotions, and be the attack dog, it’s Nina Turner. However, like many in the Bernie Wing, I do worry about Nina. She can be very prone to saying controversial things as well as saying things without thinking. It also seems like she spends more time attacking her own party than the other. I’d like to see her in Congress but I hope she can become more like Bernie and less like The Squad.

Why would they be? Democratic Socialists winning elections plays into the GOP narrative that the Democrats are radicals.

Bernies only passed 7 bills in the decades he’s been in office (and two were to rename a post office). I’m not afraid.

She will probably get the seat. I tend to support Democrats at the local level  and occasionally at the state level but I couldn’t support her.

Which all the more highlights the ideal that only radicals on either side, with tightening tolerance of ideological dissidence in what used to big tent parties, are, "electable," and the traitors who run the electoral system - guilty of the same crimes as the alleged Russian hackers of 2016, but EVERY election, and blatantly, make sensible, rational, and grounded leadership seem less and less plausible going into the future. How long will Americans continue to tolerate these two parties of failure, treason, lies, and corruption, that engineer an effective lack of choice so one of them always wins, when they both deserve the dustbin of history?

According to Pew Research Democrats have shifted further left significantly since 1994, whereas Republicans have only made a modest shift to the right.

I look forward to black voters handing yet another major defeat to the creeping advance of Socialism in America. First Sanders in South Carolina, then Wiley in New York City, next stop Turner in Cleveland. Our firewall won't be broken!

A meme I made to reflect the growing reality that no group has done more to thwart Socialism in America than black voters.

Well, I think it's plain to see that the majority of Americans are (deliberately) poorly educated on the actual definition of Socialism, and several other socio-political movements, and tend to be inclined to cling to the falsehoods they've been fed in this regard over later, more accurate, information. 😞

Are you ok

Seems like Republicans are really afraid about Nina winning, and they should be!

Also, Marcia Fudge's mom endorsed Brown in behalf of her daughter...

100% agree. That’s why so many support it. 😛

While ideologically less right wing, Trumpism is a lot more radical in that they’ve taken on nonsense like Qanon and Anti-vax.

Fair enough. Though to be fair you have to admit right wing conspiracies are far more entertaining than left wing ones.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Thank God for South Carolina, and God Bless Jim Clyburn.

Stopping the crazies one election cycle at a time. 😎

CCP apologists and tankies are rather entertaining, although prolonged exposure can cause severe headaches
