This would be voting for who you would rather win/want to win. (So if your a Dem choose who you would rather win for Rep's if they where president and vice versa)

If we had ranked choice for dems my top 3 would be

1) Corey Booker

2) Wes Moore

3) Sherrod Brown

I think my top three changes depending on whether or not Biden is the incumbent or not, because to me that affects the calculus on whether the Democrats should risk it with an outsider candidate or play it safe with a more mainstream pick.

Biden Wins:

1. Raphael Warnock

2. Andy Beshear

3. Sherod Brown

Biden Loses:

1. Gavin Newsom

2. Gretchen Whitmer

3. Raphael Warnock

Of course, my own preference does shine through - I think I'm the only person on this forum who unironically likes Gavin Newsom - but I did try to balance it with electability. Some of the candidates I don't know enough about to make a judgement one way or the other, like Wes Moore

I do see your point on Newsome, I do think the most "President ready" dems who have seemed like their career have been them preparing to run for president are: Booker, Whitmer, Newsome, and Moore. I really like Moore too because he reminds me a ton of Obama, and he is without a doubt the most genuinely charismatic out of the whole possible field.  (Shoutout Moore:

As someone who is right-leaning, but can be convinced to vote for someone who is actually center-left, I would actually consider voting for Andy Beshear. Regardless of who wins or loses, both parties desperately need to moderate on social issues. It’s tearing the fabric of the country apart. My top three candidates are as follows-

Democrats:

1) John Bel Edwards

2) Andy Beshear

3) John Testor or Amy Klobuchar

Republicans:

1) Glenn Youngkin

2) Condoleeza Rice

3) Brian Kemp or Marco Rubio

  1. Jared Polis
  2. Andy Beshear
  3. Gretchen Whitmer
  4. Tim Walz
  5. Raphael Warnock

2-4 are pretty interchangeable. I really like Warnock but I think it would be a mistake for a 1.33-term Senator to be president. Imo, unless the Senator is someone very accomplished legislatively, I prefer them to be Vice President, while letting a governor, someone who actually has executive experience, be the Preisdent.

Obviously, Pete's my guy -- probably for the rest of my life (given that he's about my age) or until he serves two full terms, whichever comes first.

For the Republicans, I went with Huckabee Sanders because she feels like the listed candidate who would be least likely to win the general election.  Can't imagine her leading Trump-sized rallys.
