vcczar
This is my estimated ranking of presidents in order of most conformistic to the party to least conformistic to the party. Some people are harder to evaluate. George Washington will qualify as a Federalist because he was a Independent in Name Only -- 95% of his appointments were Federalist, and he toed their line more than John Adams did: Andrew Jackson (Living embodiment of his party. In 1824, he'd be about 38.) Thomas Jefferson (Same as Jackson, but more tolerant of opposing views) James K Polk Ulysses S Grant Martin Van Buren William McKinley Benjamin Harrison George HW Bush Joe Biden *So far* James A Garfield Franklin Pierce Gerald Ford George W Bush James Buchanan Warren G Harding William H Taft JFK Harry S Truman James Madison Chester A Arthur Bill Clinton Millard Fillmore Herbert Hoover Jimmy Carter Woodrow Wilson LBJ Barack Obama [2012 Obama would move up by about 10 spots] George Washington Calvin Coolidge James Monroe Rutherford B Hayes William Henry Harrison FDR (Eventually built the establishment around him. 1940 FDR would be in the top 10 or top 5) Abraham Lincoln John Adams Richard Nixon Theodore Roosevelt John Quincy Adams Ronald Reagan [Same as what I saw about FDR. 1984 Reagan would be top 10] Dwight D Eisenhower Grover Cleveland Andrew Johnson Zachary Taylor Donald Trump John Tyler
