Hestia
It's been a long time coming to this day, but I am so glad that President Biden (and the US as a whole) now stands in the group that is calling the Armenian Genocide a genocide. We should never live in fear of another country's actions against us simply by calling a spade a spade. Armenia suffered a lot at the hands of the Ottoman government, and now the United States joins much of the world in recognizing it as a genocide. It took too long, but it's better than nothing 🙂 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/biden-recognizes-armenian-deaths-genocide-prompting-relief-armenia-fury-turkey-n1265040

And the fact that Israel is NOT one of those who recognize the Armenian Genocide is VERY shameful for a nation that really should know better, and the stated reason for this (like the U.S.' reason was, in fact) being, "normalizations of friendly relations with Turkey," digs in and entrenches the vile and loathsome attitude at hand - actually coldly, callously, and sociopathically politicizing these sorts of matters for soulless political pragmatism. https://www.jpost.com/opinion/israel-must-recognize-the-armenian-genocide-editorial-666086
