vcczar
What a nightmare! This might be the only situation in which I’d vote 3rd party knowing the 3rd party can’t win. That is, both parties are equally socially conservative, with only a few minor differences. @Cenzonico what game did you used for this? It's called New Campaign Trail, you choose a candidate from a multitude of election and get asked questions with your answers affecting the race. I've really enjoyed this game for the past 4 years and follow it's community a lot. In fact, Zenobiyl helped make one of the best mods on there. (1972 mod). Here's a game that I played last night. It's a scenario I think you might enjoy. I was William Jennings Bryan in 1908... but I took a Conservative turn and shed the Progressive ways. Just to see what would happen. The only significant change was Utah from IRL. Otherwise, a landslide loss. 😛 I

He was her campaign manager but he primary advisor was probably someone else. She had a really disorganized campaign hierarchy, which made little sense. My cousin probably had less control than any campaign manager in US Presidential History.

Was it a going to visit his family every other month thing growing up or a rarely-seen-except-for-reunions kind of thing?

Was it a going to visit his family every other month thing growing up or a rarely-seen-except-for-reunions kind of thing? I've never met him. We have the same grandfather, but we have a different grandmother. My grandfather abandoned his first wife and the two sons he had with her, one of these being Robby Mook's father. My grandfather died, never telling his second wife (my grandmother) or his kids from his 2nd wife, including my mom. I only found out the my grandfather had a first family when I was about 15 or 16. I had my first CPU. I wanted to see what the internet had on my ancestors. I found a Delo E Mook II teaching astronomy at Dartmouth. The original person by that name is my great-grandfather; therefore, I knew he had to be related. So I wrote him an email. He wrote back saying, "My father -- your grandfather -- is the worst man I never knew." The email was short, but I also learned that I had another uncle from the first marriage that was a Professor of Psychology at the U of VA. He closed the email by asking me to never contact him again. I remember feeling hurt because I had nothing to do with the abandonment, and didn't even know he existed or why he existed. In about 2014 or 2015, I was researching various surnames of my family tree in wikipedia, just to see what popped up. This is how I found Robby Mook. It mentioned his father being a professor at Dartmouth, so this certified that he's my cousin. This was right before he was named--or even rumored to be--Hillary Clinton's campaign manager. As the 2016 election was going on, I wrote my estranged uncle again--hoping that after about 20 years he'd be open to talking. He wasn't. He actually wrote a 3rd or 4th cousin that must have mentioned something about me, and that cousin wrote me to say that he didn't want contact. That hurt also. One Clinton's campaign emails were hacked and leaked, I was able to get my cousin's email because it was available everywhere. I wrote him the night Clinton lost to offer my condolences. I bet he stopped using that account. Regardless, I never wrote back. I once tagged him on Twitter to see if he would respond but he isn't that active, so I doubt he even saw it. I haven't tried anything more than this, but I'd certainly go mildly out of my way to see him if he was giving a talk in NYC or something. There's a lot about him that makes me think we'd get along. I don't think he'd harbor the grudge that his father harbor's to the descendants of my grandfather's second wife.

Id hardly call Barry Goldwater equally socially conservative as George Wallace.
