My "other" is Pete Buttigieg -- though of course this is contingent on Joe not running.  I do think he can and should challenge Kamala, who was such a weak candidate that she dropped out before Iowa in 2020, where Pete won.  Of course, this is assuming a world in which Joe is alive and still President, but not running for re-election.  If Kamala is President by 2024, then she will be the only Democrat nominee.

For only two reasons:

Biden's age. I expect him to look even older in 4 years. However, I think he'll run. 

Harris hits a lot of demographics that might turnout more for her. 

I'd prefer Biden. I think younger Biden would easily be better than her electorally. 

I think Harris would outperform Biden in MI, GA, FL, PA. She might do worse in WI and AZ.

I believe he wont do it,i know he said he would but my gut tells me otherwise.Joe will be 82 in 2024,and if he gets reelected he was serve as President almost until he is 87.He just doesn't seem to me as a guy who would like to cling to power until last years of his life,i wish him all the best but it is doubtful he would be alive at the end of his potential 2nd term.He seems to me like a guy who would rather retire in 2024 and then spend rest of his life with his family and grandchildern.
