As a french citizen I will vote for Emmanuel Macron in 2022 in both rounds after having voted Benoit Hamon (then Emmanuel Macron) in 2017.

Currently Emmanuel Macron holds a very strategic place, he owns something like 50% of the left-wing vote (center-left) the center + a good part of the center-right.

His party is a big tent of social democrats, social liberals, progressives, pro EU, fiscal conservatives who reject social conservatism, and even kind of "pro security" people

So he covers from social democrats to fiscal conservatives

On immigration and security he's pretty to the right while on society he's pretty to the left, his economic view switching from the center-left to the right depending of the moment

For example on the labor reform he's right wing as well as on tax reforms, but on welfare he's pretty center-left

On society he's definitively left-wing too.

In contrast, Jadot is blocked by radicals from his party and wants to pushes France out of the nuclear energy by 2050, he promotes several measures which are tendancious with the economy even if he remains fairly moderate, he's more left-wing than Greens from Germany for example.

To the contrary Valérie Pécresse is a lot right-wing on economy but pretty center-right to center on societal issues. However, she tends to take some harsh pledges on terrorism and immigration to try to please her base and not be squeezed between Macron and Le Pen or Eric Zemmour.

All the others are just too radical (Le Pen / Zemmour / Mélenchon) or polling too low (Hidalgo Montebourg NDA).
