  1. Didn't you got to UK? How did that happen?
  2. I'll start with mine: MLB: 1. Boston Red Sox 2. St. Louis Cardinals Nomar Garciaparra, Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts, Pedro Martinez NBA: Boston Celtics Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum NFL: 1. Miami Dolphins 2. New England Patriots Ricky Williams College Football: Boise State College Basketball: Georgetown WNBA: Indiana Fever Kelsey Mitchell EPL: Liverpool MLS: New England Revolution Individual Sports Boxing: Andre Ward and Errol Spence Jr. F1: Lewis Hamilton I don't really have favorites for other sports. Maybe Djokovic and Osaka or Serena for tennis?
  3. Don't know if you know this or not, but @DakotaHale was referencing one of his jokes when he said "I didn't even know he was sick". On his podcast, Adam Eget was reading about Hitler as if Norm didn't know much about him, and when he got to saying he died, Norm said he "didn't even know he was sick". The joke was all over twitter and reddit the past couple days considering how suitable it was for the situation.
  4. VP: Councilor Kendra Brooks I’d say put me on the ballot in every state. I stopped playing PI so I don’t know if this still isn’t possible, but I would have preferred being on the WFP line in states where they have party status and then independent everywhere else.
  5. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/09/14/entertainment/norm-macdonald-death/index.html my all-time favorite comedian. RIP
  6. This is my argument for de-legalizing Dasani
  7. Who's your favorite boxer? Before he retired, mine used to be Andre Ward, but now it's probably Errol Spence. Was looking forward to seeing him fight Pacquiao.
  8. Jay Newton Occupation: Mayor of Boston Money: $20000/$100000 Surrogates: Massachusetts Progressives
  9. Because there's no evidence that basketball was invented anywhere besides Springfield. I've never heard anybody involved with basketball ever claim it was invented anywhere besides Springfield. I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but you've been misinformed.
  10. https://www.history.com/news/who-invented-basketball It's pretty well-known (at least by Americans) that basketball was invented in Springfield. That's why they have the Hall of Fame there.
  11. But this is also exactly how college sports work. The best teams bribe the best players and the same teams win every year. Alabama has finished outside the top 2 once in the last six years and it's pretty well-known that they've been paying (whether directly or indirectly) to play since well before the NIL rule.
  12. Yes, it was definitely invented in Springfield
  13. Baseball is easily my favorite sport to follow and watch in-person, but I'd choose either basketball or boxing for watching on tv
  14. Ilhan Omar Bernie Sanders Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Joe Biden Nancy Pelosi Kamala Harris Joe Manchin Mitt Romney Rand Paul Mitch McConnell Ted Cruz Donald Trump Ron DeSantis Matt Gaetz
  15. Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Rogers Hornsby wouldn't even be able to hit a curveball from Wandy Rodriguez or a fastball from Kyle Hendricks, let alone ones from Roy Halladay and Stephen Strasburg. No way they'd ever be able to compete with some of the other hitters they're listed with.
  16. I would have voted for Jonathan Ogden or Walter Jones for offensive line
  17. Oh yea, it's real. But birds aren't.
  18. I might try to watch their next match then. I just saw that they're playing Qatar. I had to look it up to see why Qatar was even in the tournament haha
  19. Yea, I actually watched a few Euro 2020 matches as well. I really wish the U.S. was better at developing soccer talent though because I actually enjoy it when I watch it, I just have no connections. If the New England Revolution had internationally elite players or the USMNT were more competitive, I'd watch a lot more.

    Olympics

What are people watching the most in the Olympics? I'm most interested in baseball's return (about to watch Dominican Republic v. Japan), basketball, and boxing. I might watch some soccer if I'm awake, as well as some of the medal events involving U.S. athletes in sports I don't typically watch.
  21. I'm not much of a soccer fan, but I've always loved watching the World Cup. So I basically get into soccer once every four years (If Olympic soccer didn't have age limits I'd probably be more interested right now). With the EPL season starting in a few weeks, I'm wondering which club forum members root for? I'd like to get more into soccer, but MLS is such low quality and I have no connections to any EPL club. The only thing I can think of is that John Henry, owner of the Boston Red Sox, also owns Liverpool. However, I don't like John Henry whatsoever, so I'm not sure that's a good reason to root for Liverpool. Anybody have any good reasons I should root for a specific EPL club?
  22. I'm registered with the Working Families Party in real life (though they don't technically have party status in Massachusetts)

  24. Never been a fan of Warren. If she were the nominee, I'd vote for her, but not in the primary or in this scenario.
