  3. Congress in Session Everyone may propose their legislation now. Details below. Reminder you may submit new bills from "LegisProps" tab or repeal something if its allowed from the "LegisActive" tab. Spending Bills: We will be limited to just ONE spending bill this session (and that includes crisis legislation spending). This is because of the rev/budget meter being at 1. (Hint: Might need to consider raising the debt ceiling. Which is always a fun fight lol) Executive Branch Interference: Sec Sebelius @Vicx may make an economic proposal and Sec Donough @Vicx may make a military proposal. Since they are both efficient and dealing with a crisis if won't count against the legislator's proposals. President Warner @Hestia may reject these proposals before they go to Congress if he wishes. 6. Committee Votes @Bushwa777 @WVProgressive @Rezi @Bloot911 @Joe303300 @Murrman104 @ShortKing @Rodja @jnewt @10centjimmy Bills were cut due to our spending limit. Those proposed first get to move on. Proposal order is determined per rules by: "Roll for each Congressperson (except for those in leadership or Chair positions), beginning with level 5 legislators from the majority party, then level 5 legislators from the minority, and onward down to the level 1 legislators if necessary." Those that have the option below, let me know if you are packaging any of your bills. 8. Results above New AL Gov is Gale Clark and she will be assigned to @WVProgressive (lowest scoring red faction)
  9. Action to @Bloot911 and @ShortKing for their committee votes.
  10. Sooooo looking at something else made me realize we/I did one thing wrong in cabinet voting. The nuclear option for cabinet appointments was invoked by Reid back in 2013. So for this playtest that is already in effect and they only needed 50 votes to pass not 60. Which means the following people actually passed: Sec of Treasury Kathleen Sebelius Sec of Labor Rodney Slater Sec of Energy Tom Vilsack (The rest still failed) Of course this changes the lingering phase. And while still very bad it helped out some. Planet Health drops by 1 instead of 2 (to a 4) Domestic Stability stays at a 5 instead of dropping by 1 And the big one Economic Stability drops by 2 instead of 3 so we are "only" at a 2 Great Recession and the game won't end in 8 years. Of course Mil Prep is still a 1 so nobody go start a war. Also Party Pref goes another tick red so now Red +2
  11. @jnewt You made a valiant effort in trying to improve the meters. So thanks for that just no dice.
  12. It's so much more interesting to see who votes for what in the older history tests. The modern playtest it is pretty easy to know ahead of time. Blue on one side, Red on the other. But here it depends on the bill. Some everyone is for except 10Cent and Joe30 (LW). Others Bushwa and Murrman (RW) might agree versus everyone else. And then other bills are more split along party lines. Just a wide array of factions arrangements across the board. Could make packaging bills out of committee more exciting. One the left likes, one the left hates. What do they do? Vote for it or against it?
  13. @pman ok that's cool. Class 1 has 11 so you can take one of them out and put in Class 2 or 5. And then I add in the missing one once I notice what that is lol
  14. @pman for AK and KS what group to place them in? 1-5 with 1 being the first to vote.
  15. Somewhat odd they are in the same session but basically one takes away the President's power to call a draft on his own. While the other is Congress instituting a draft.
  16. Whoa that will shake up the primaries for sure.
  17. That's V's doc but all of the relevant actions they can take have been added to our spreadsheet. Just go under the "GovActions" tab which I've marked red.
