  1. 1) Kerrey will meet with Plains representatives to try to get them to abandon McGovern in favor of Kerrey as a custodian-like agreement over those delegates. 2) Kerrey will appeal to moderate party leaders to try to gain some lost ground. 3) Kerrey will meet with members of nearby midwestern representatives to try to gain a few delegates.
  2. Senator Kerrey addresses the convention with eye on November "I stand for a Democratic Party that is the party of Jefferson, the party of Roosevelt. I do not stand for a party that is the party of McGovern. Whatever has gotten into him is not of this Earth, I fear. Even God wouldn't recognize the man anymore. He deserves to be looked at closely in a mental institution, not be coronated as the nominee of this Democratic Party. But this isn't just about him, it is about who we choose to go up against Bush and Perot. Governor Cuomo does not seem to have the numbers to get through and be the challenger we need. I, along with other candidates, gave him a chance to go up against McGovern 1 on 1, but he has since flubbed that opportunity. He continues to sink further behind, not catch up. I can be that candidate, be forging alliances between our plains communities and our urban ones. Together, we will rescue this party from the charlatans that are running and the Republicans and Perot."
  3. Yeah, I don't think GWB's foreign policy would be highly rated but I don't think our major allies had white-knuckle grips on the wheel when he was President like with Trump. But Trump's scores are already fairly low so in the interest of fairness, I get that 😛
  4. The people of America have been calling for it. They didn't know how good they had it back when. Back when Bob was in the race and they just had a fun time mocking him. Hasn't the world only gotten worse without Bob Kerrey in the race? Exactly. Bob Kerrey re-enters the race at the convention Kerrey focuses on meeting and greeting with state leaders from the Great Plains, hoping to win over more moderate delegations that may have voted for McGovern. Bob Kerrey talks to senior Democrats at the DNC about what could be done about a possible mental evaluation of George McGovern and wonders if he is medically fit to be President. Senator Kerrey will focus on a do-not-overlap strategy with anti-McGovern Democrats, particularly Moynihan, Casey, and Mondale, with Kerrey trying to focus on the wider Midwest and signing onto the anti-McGovern pledge that Moynihan proposed.
  5. Idk how someone gets Maine flipping. Are they smoking something? 😄
  6. Apologies for the delay, this week is a very busy one here - I should have more time on Sunday/leading into next week. Lots of events and things before then. Thanks for the patience!
  7. Right, that's why there's dissent cables. Learning about how much it takes to even try to make it in the foreign service makes it clear that no one's doing it just to meddle from the inside. It takes real patriotism and personal fortitude.
  8. I had a busy Easter weekend as I'm sure everyone did, but we still need the following: Debate & Campaign: @WVProgressive @Fbarbarossa Debate Only: @wendell willkie fan @Pringles @Rezi If possible, try to get it in by Wednesday morning, as that will be when I'll have the most time to roll. Thanks!
  9. Okay, I just wanted to make sure that that's all going to plan the way you thought it would. I did only spend like 2-3 WC total. It seems odd that anyone would drop out after winning that number of early states, so I think adding those boosts for winning honestly the first four states at minimum would be good. In reality, no frontrunner who wins Iowa, Nevada, South Carolina, and Michigan is going to be flat broke. For the game, I will be withholding my delegates until convention.
  10. I do think it's a little odd that I win like 4-5 states and then drop out almost immediately after.
  11. 1 WC on Independents, 1 on Agriculture
