  1. 1) Kerrey will meet with Plains representatives to try to get them to abandon McGovern in favor of Kerrey as a custodian-like agreement over those delegates. 2) Kerrey will appeal to moderate party leaders to try to gain some lost ground. 3) Kerrey will meet with members of nearby midwestern representatives to try to gain a few delegates.
  2. Senator Kerrey addresses the convention with eye on November "I stand for a Democratic Party that is the party of Jefferson, the party of Roosevelt. I do not stand for a party that is the party of McGovern. Whatever has gotten into him is not of this Earth, I fear. Even God wouldn't recognize the man anymore. He deserves to be looked at closely in a mental institution, not be coronated as the nominee of this Democratic Party. But this isn't just about him, it is about who we choose to go up against Bush and Perot. Governor Cuomo does not seem to have the numbers to get through and be the challenger we need. I, along with other candidates, gave him a chance to go up against McGovern 1 on 1, but he has since flubbed that opportunity. He continues to sink further behind, not catch up. I can be that candidate, be forging alliances between our plains communities and our urban ones. Together, we will rescue this party from the charlatans that are running and the Republicans and Perot."
  3. Yeah, I don't think GWB's foreign policy would be highly rated but I don't think our major allies had white-knuckle grips on the wheel when he was President like with Trump. But Trump's scores are already fairly low so in the interest of fairness, I get that 😛
  4. The people of America have been calling for it. They didn't know how good they had it back when. Back when Bob was in the race and they just had a fun time mocking him. Hasn't the world only gotten worse without Bob Kerrey in the race? Exactly. Bob Kerrey re-enters the race at the convention Kerrey focuses on meeting and greeting with state leaders from the Great Plains, hoping to win over more moderate delegations that may have voted for McGovern. Bob Kerrey talks to senior Democrats at the DNC about what could be done about a possible mental evaluation of George McGovern and wonders if he is medically fit to be President. Senator Kerrey will focus on a do-not-overlap strategy with anti-McGovern Democrats, particularly Moynihan, Casey, and Mondale, with Kerrey trying to focus on the wider Midwest and signing onto the anti-McGovern pledge that Moynihan proposed.
  5. Idk how someone gets Maine flipping. Are they smoking something? 😄
  6. Apologies for the delay, this week is a very busy one here - I should have more time on Sunday/leading into next week. Lots of events and things before then. Thanks for the patience!
  7. Right, that's why there's dissent cables. Learning about how much it takes to even try to make it in the foreign service makes it clear that no one's doing it just to meddle from the inside. It takes real patriotism and personal fortitude.
  8. I had a busy Easter weekend as I'm sure everyone did, but we still need the following: Debate & Campaign: @WVProgressive @Fbarbarossa Debate Only: @wendell willkie fan @Pringles @Rezi If possible, try to get it in by Wednesday morning, as that will be when I'll have the most time to roll. Thanks!
  9. Okay, I just wanted to make sure that that's all going to plan the way you thought it would. I did only spend like 2-3 WC total. It seems odd that anyone would drop out after winning that number of early states, so I think adding those boosts for winning honestly the first four states at minimum would be good. In reality, no frontrunner who wins Iowa, Nevada, South Carolina, and Michigan is going to be flat broke. For the game, I will be withholding my delegates until convention.
  10. I do think it's a little odd that I win like 4-5 states and then drop out almost immediately after.
  11. 1 WC on Independents, 1 on Agriculture
  12. This is some kind of bullying I swear smh
  13. I will attack Rezi on Agriculture.

  15. Ribbon-cutting in Nevada: 6. Lombardo agrees to allow Sandoval at the ribbon cuttings, and it seems to go off smoothly despite his endorsement of a rival candidate earlier on the trail. Reno: 9. Nevadans know that alternative energy is the future and turn out to hear Sandoval’s plan on it. They are glad to hear that the governor is going to try to expand it at a national level if he becomes president. Dover: 9. New Hampshire is turning around for Gov. Sandoval and turns out to hear him talk in the Northeast. It gives him a boost of momentum in the state that he hasn’t had. Overall: +9. Sandoval needed a week to get right and this week surely helped him on that path. Iowa: 3. Iowans are still somewhat shocked by the Satanic Temple display that was up in 2024 and has made some problems in the Iowa Capitol since then, and Rubio has unwittingly stepped into the issue. Ernst endorsement: 8. Senator Ernst agrees to endorse Rubio for President. As an influential member of GOP leadership in the Senate, plus a knowledgeable local, Ernst offers a good boost to Rubio’s campaign in Iowa. Rubio rally: 9. Lombardo criss-crosses the state to meet Rubio for a rally in Carson City, which is well-attended. Rubio’s campaign in Nevada appears to be heating up! Overall: +5. Rubio’s campaign is starting to pick up steam in general, and not a moment too soon. TV campaign: 7. DeSantis’ campaign decision to go after Biden on the airwaves helps try to paint the race as a DeSantis vs. whoever ends up making it through the Dem primary. New Hampshire: 7. DeSantis has a good meeting in New Hampshire with military veterans, who have a breakfast with him in a fire hall. They swap stories and all in all, have a good time. Boebert endorsement: 1! Boebert declines to endorse, assailing DeSantis on social media for assuming that she would endorse just because Trump did. She accuses him of not being fully on the MAGA train and appeals to Trump to unendorse. Overall: -1. DeSantis sputters after a viral fight with Rep. Boebert. Iowa: 10!, 3, 10! Walsh’s attacks on DeSantis are just what he needed to get the spark going again in the Hawkeye state. People are glad to hear about a little drama every now and then. Overall: +8. Walsh gets some momentum in Iowa going. Ivey endorsement: 5. Britt is allowed a meeting with Alabama’s governor, but she declines to endorse. Britt doesn’t appear to have gained enough Musk meeting: 7. Musk is hypnotized enough to offer Britt some money for her campaign, though he doesn’t commit to large-scale backing since he’s heard a lot about the others as well. He offers her to do a show on X. Clemson rally: 9. The campus loves it! They’re creating t-shirts with Britt’s slogan and her face on them, and it appears to give her a pretty good boost in the state. Overall: +6. Britt continues to have upward trajectory in the campaign. Iowa: 2. For some reason, Iowans just don’t believe that Abbott really wants to cut their taxes. They see him as just another GOP politician and heckle him when he talks about cutting taxes on the middle class. Duncan endorsement: 2. Jeff Duncan declines to meet with Abbott at all and privately assails his ‘flagging’ campaign. He seems to suggest that Abbott look elsewhere for endorsements in the future. South Carolina: 10! A rally helps turn the week around to a degree, with a huge crowd meeting to discuss the importance of family values in South Carolina. Overall: -3. A rally in South Carolina covers up some issues elsewhere on the trail. Melania: 5. Some fringe far-right types buy into the fact that it was an impostor, while most just push it off as Vivek going to loony town again. Little endorsement: 10! The Idaho governor is just glad that someone, anyone, is paying attention to him at this point in the race. He agrees to endorse Vivek in a statement posted online. Veteran meeting: 7. It goes surprisingly well, but maybe it is because the group was a largely older population, so they are less concerned about Vivek’s rhetoric around cutting veterans’ budgets. Overall: +7. Vivek recovers some from the previous week from hell, but he will need more to recover where he was at before. Sununu: 10! While Sununu doesn’t agree to marry Phil Scott, he does finally agree to endorse him after several weeks of good rolls that got him back in the game. They go to Paris and seem to have a good time meeting with French officials. New Hampshire ad: 9. America feels more divided than ever lately and this ad tackles the issues that New Hampshire residents think are core to what is going on in the country. Vivek: 5. Half of the country appears to agree with Scott that there needs to be something done, while the other half wonders if he went too far in commenting on what appears to be a severe mental break. Overall: +9. Scott has another good week to continue building on prior successes. New Hampshire: 8. Haley has a good run up in the Northeast, with moderates glad to see her back in the state and contesting it against some of the more hardline conservatives running for the nomination. Greenville: 3. The operation hits a snag as some papers were lost, leading to some negative headlines for Haley that some private information was lost, but no one seems to be able to know for sure. Iowa: 5. The rallies proceed as normal, but they aren’t big attention grabbers like in previous weeks. All in all, they don’t really help or hurt the former Ambassador. Overall: +1. Haley has a slightly positive week, mostly held up by a good showing in New Hampshire. Iowa: 4. Most Iowans aren’t even really sure of who this is, and it seems rather niche for the campaign. A lot of the people are just kind of weirded out by Jones in general, even if they may agree with the message. Jimmy Dore appearance: 1! The whole thing goes downhill when it seems to buffer and then just cuts out at random times. It makes Jones look unprofessional and when he gets the connection back, he’s red-faced and angry. 24-hour livestream: 1! The suggestion of sending people into battle to potentially die lands Jones in hot water on the national stage, and he isn’t even able to stay up for 24 hours, so people are treated to Jones just sleeping in front of the camera for about an hour. Overall: -11. Jones hits potentially rock bottom, but it isn’t as bad as Vivek’s last week.
  16. Just another reminder, should be about another 24 hours, but will extend a bit if needed. Still need @Pringles @WVProgressive @The Blood @Fbarbarossa @Rezi @Cenzonico @Sean F Kennedy

  18. New Hampshire: 8. Rubio is able to put something together in New Hampshire and people listen! Some of the more rural towns are able to hear his interview too and create some buzz for the senator further north. Lombardo endorsement: 10! Nevada’s governor is standing behind Marco Rubio for President, even joining him at a rally that same week to show his support. Reno: 10! Nevada is one of the states that was harder hit by COVID and just hasn’t been able to get back on track. Going after Biden on the economy here was a great idea and endeared Rubio to the state’s residents. Overall: +13. Rubio badly needed a week like this and finally got it, giving him strong momentum. Michigan: 8. DeSantis visits Detroit and simply has to say the name Trump to get the local Republicans behind him. It helps that he’s come in person and is making stops around the city to continue his momentum. Pence endorsement: 3. Pence is frankly aghast that you would even ask for his support and says that he wouldn’t in a million years endorse anyone who believed that the election of 2020 was ‘rigged’ as DeSantis said in a previous week. Taiwan visit: 2. You know the Dukakis in a tank thing? Well…just picture DeSantis’ usual awkward self making his way to a critical ally across the ocean and strapping into a fighter jet. Not only does it seem like gross pandering, it just seems easy to mock. Overall: -3. DeSantis struggles in the later half of the week and takes a turn for the worse. New Hampshire interview: 2. Sandoval seems to be off his game and gets tripped up with some rather easy questions that were given to him by the CNN interviewers. No one’s quite sure why, but it causes some negative headlines. Charleston: 1! Sandoval shows up for a debate…where there is none. He ends up just debating a few college students who seem to just want to heckle him and make things worse, which gives off a poor look for the campaign. Carson City: 5. Sandoval heads back to his home state for a break-even performance at a campaign event. Overall: -9. Sandoval continues to stumble while other stars rise. Sununu: 10! The bus rams into Sununu’s car full-force, which sends Sununu and his wife careening into the nearby retaining wall. Sununu clambers out of his car and sees the dreaded ‘Scott ‘28’ bus logo. But when Phil Scott comes out of the bus and it starts to rain, he starts to see his friend he once knew again. Sununu wipes blood from his forehead and agrees to go to prom with him. NH ad: 10! The people of New Hampshire are forced to live in a dual dichotomy between Scott harassing their former governor and him running a plausibly smart campaign strategy. They are starting to eat it up. Nashua: 9. New Hampshire residents seem to be totally on the Scott train now, which has picked up incredible steam in the Granite State. Some national figures are left scratching their heads at what exactly is going on up north. Overall: +14. In one of the campaign weeks for the ages (which could have gone remarkably poorly), Scott has seized momentum in New Hampshire. Time travel: 9. While they aren’t able to make a true time traveling machine, Britt and Shelby are able to do some fun science experiments in Shelby’s garage, which attracts a crowd of people to watch them have fun. Tuberville endorsement: 9. Tuberville can be hard to track sometimes with the way the wind is blowing, but he is more than happy to endorse his same-state senator Katie Britt, somewhat surprising people by staking out a position against the frontrunners. TikTok video: 7. It’s just far too comical to have Shelby doing the Watch Me dance for it to go poorly. The people of America are eating up the new kind of content from Britt’s campaign. Overall: +10. Britt finally catches on in a big way midway through the campaign cycle to Iowa. Iowa City: 3. Student protestors show up in the weeks before finals, braving cold weather to shout at Walsh from outside. While he’s still able to make his talk, it’s largely drowned out by coverage of the protests. Fox appearance: 7. People are glad to hear anyone take a whack at any of the frontrunners, and that includes Rhonda Santis, in Walsh’s words. Iowa: 2. Walsh’s crowning jewel of the campaign has been Iowa. But now, it seems to be letting him down as he is heckled and harassed in Davenport by angry citizens that have finally caught onto who he is. Overall: -4. Walsh stumbles in Iowa overshadows a Fox appearance. Free Melania: 1! Melania Trump herself goes on air on Fox News to announce that she is suing Vivek Ramaswamy for defamation in coordination with Ron DeSantis. She says that she has been in Mar-a-Lago the whole time and hadn’t seen the news until recently. Steve King: 1! Steve King even refuses to endorse Ramaswamy’s toxic campaign and launches a broadside about his addled brain in Iowa newspapers. New Hampshire: 1! Are you out of your goddamn mind? Elderly folks rush the stage in New Hampshire and try to get their hands on Ramaswamy, starting to hit him with their canes and try to run him over in their wheelchairs. Luckily the police arrive before anything too serious happens, but it shows the depth of feeling about him. Overall: -15. In the worst campaign week you quite literally can have, Vivek had it. His campaign is in utter free-fall and is now being hit with a serious lawsuit. Iowa: 2. While the attack has some merit, local papers call into question whether Abbott has had a serious governing record or was more interested in picking fights with the federal government. It causes a semi-political storm in the Hawkeye state. Reynolds endorsement: 3. Reynolds is almost so surprised that she almost goes to the presses to say that Abbott asked her to endorse when she’d already endorsed Nikki Haley. However, she holds off on doing so but tells Abbott through an intermediary that she’s committed to the Haley campaign. Iowa: 9. Older folks are happy to hear Abbott talking about healthcare, something that hasn’t gotten a lot of attention on the campaign trail in recent weeks. They are even happier to hear that he wants to deregulate and bring down prices. Overall: -2. Abbott is still buffered by a good week last week, but had a slightly negative one this week. Tucker show: 8. Jones’ audience is happy to hear him going after the Republican establishment, especially as Walsh takes a few hits in the past weeks. Rogan appearance: 10! It sounds like a great idea to America to throw Shapiro and Gabbard into a volcano! No one’s too fond of them anyway, and it sounds like it could be the trip of a lifetime to see. Plus for Jones, it means more time for himself on air. Peterson endorsement: 5. Peterson declines to endorse at the current time. Overall: +8. Jones gets a boost this week as well, adding some juice to his campaign. Sununu endorsement: 1! Sununu gives a brief response to not call back, and he seems to be busy with whatever he’s got going on in New Hampshire with Scott this week. Nashua: 3. Haley’s performance in Nashua just seems to be a bit lackluster, like she may have gotten a cold over the last week or something. South Carolina: 10! Her home state comes through with an excellent week, as the former governor continues to build an impressive operation there that will be able to take on the frontrunners and act as a firewall for its former governor. Overall: -2. Similar to Abbott, Haley’s week is not as negative as it appears on the tin, saved by South Carolina.
  19. If I counted right, I think we just need @Pringles. Should be back to regularly scheduled programming this week!
