Timur Posted December 21, 2021 Share Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) So, I made some establishment candidates start as "undecided" while some non-establishment candidates start as declared (if you start as undecided or Not Seeking and declare, you will have to gain ballot access which will cost you some delegates). So, eventually Trump announced his candidacy later than Walsh and Weld who were already declared. Weld suspended his campaign after poor showing in the early primaries, and sometime after (I think Super Tuesday), Walsh did as well. However, Trump did not make an effort to get on the ballot after that so consequently Walsh won all the rest of the contests even though he had withdrawn. I think some states (Florida, for sure) did not count Walsh as getting any delegates The RNC must have been involved. This is the result.
