He did but that doesn't guarantee him a victory and it will have been wiped out by the fact that in this era you get a negative for being non white. -

Not only is Wood now sad but also most of the Bourbon Democrat governors. Perhaps congress will be better.

-
Fernando Wood will run. Why would he not when he just got Blaine ousted through a totally not kangaroo court.
-
Damn, we found that he behaved ethically
-
Abuse of Power: Speaker Blaine has used the Office of the Speaker to enhance his own political ambitions and has never been shy that he is after the presidency. He has been willing to use the office to get there. Bribery: Clearly the speaker has been using bribes to keep his numerous scandals under wraps for so long. Contempt of Congress: He got elected speaker in opposition to the ruling party and then failed to have the conviction to say what he did to get there. Corruption: He is Blaine need I say anymore Obstruction of Justice: Blaine should be in jail for his naughty behaviour. It is clear he has used his position as Speaker to prevent that. Perjury: Blaine has previously said he did nothing wrong. Clearly we wouldn't be having this impeachment if he was innocent. Public Indecency: He got caught having sex Tax Evasion: I cannot guarantee he has done this but the committee will undoubtedly find evidence. Unethical Private Behavior: Blaine has been having mistresses and various other indiscreet acts that shame the office of Speaker. Unethical Political Bias: Blaine has refused to remove reconstruction which he has openly admitted will prevent any other party ever taking power again. Unlawful decision making: He hired sex workers and all sorts.

Maybe I should have gone for Treason and Inciting Violence. I am sure I could have found a way to make them stick

The charges are as follows: Abuse of Power: 1-2 die roll Bribery: 1 die roll Contempt of Congress: 1-2 die roll Corruption: 1 die roll Obstruction of Justice: 1-2 die roll Perjury: 1-2 die roll Public Indecency: 1 die roll Tax Evasion: 1 die roll Unethical Private Behavior: 1 die roll Unethical Political Bias: 1 die roll Unlawful decision making: 1 die roll I'm hitting Cocaine Blaine with everything but Treason and inciting violence.
-
Fernando Wood will be very disappointed in the dice should it happen that Blaine is not guilty.

John S. Phelps to serve as Chair (D-MO-2) Majority Members: Thomas C Hindman - AR -01, Michael C Kerr - IN -03, Arthur Pue Gorman - MD - 02, James Roosevelt I - NY-01, Fernando Wood NY - 03, George H Pendleton - OH - 01, James D Porter - TN - 01, Emanuel Willis Wilson - WV - 01 Ranking Members: Nathaniel P Banks - ID - AL, Charles D Drake - ND - AL It seems that this committee has been formed to investigate a terrible thing. Fernando Wood is confident that the outcome will be the correct one given that 6 of the 11 members happen to be Bourbon Democrats (AKA this is a Kangaroo court and you can't stop me)
