Why are these laws not being enforced, and how can Americans - or the world - have faith in a Government as lax about corruption laws as Kenya, India, or the Philippines? To all American citizens here, is having a Government knee-deep in the filth of corruption, where Big Money holds more influence and power over most politicians than the voters or Constitutional law, and where almost no legal action is taken, except the odd, rare tokenist case (like Abramoff back in the '90's) truly ACCEPTABLE and TOLERABLE to all and any of you, and truly considered the breeding ground from which leaders worthy of respect and admiration can possibly rise? Honest answers, here. Do you have proof of any violations of statute? Criminal prosecution requires an extremely high burden of proof (and rightfully so). Unless there’s proof of statutory violations, there is no criminal prosecution.
