Appointments!

@10centjimmy To nominate new Ambassadors to France and Prussia (French Ambassador retired, John Jay left Prussia to become NY Governor.)

You can also replace Hamilton as Key Advisor if you so choose, as that position always serves at the pleasure of the President.

All other positions continue to serve for life.

France: FranklinCPU Benjamin Goodhue

Prussia: FranklinCPU George Clymer

I actually can't remember if I've previously been rolling for ideology enthusiasm for retained life appointment cabinet members -- but a strict interpretation of the rules
("Whenever a cabinet member is nominated and confirmed or re-appointed") suggests that we should not, as they're neither being nominated nor re-appointed.

But @10centjimmy Key Advisor Alexander Hamilton is being re-appointed since that position isn't for life, so I will roll for him.

Reformists don't like Hamilton as Key Advisor.  Liberal enthusiasm +1 Blue.

Nationalists like Hamilton as Key Advisor.  Conservative enthusiasm +1 Red.

Law & Order enthusiasts don't like Hamilton as Key Advisor.  Traditionalist enthusiasm +1 Blue.

Deep South is getting tired of being completely ignored as a potential source for cabinet members, etc.  -1 Domestic stability.  We're just one step away (and a 40% die roll) from accidentally trigging a civil war.

Do they care about ambassadors or is it just the cabinet? Because CC Pinckney is deep south.

Regardless it would be cool to fire some cabinet officials... or maybe they retire?

It’s written as cabinet and cabinet level officers.  So like Hamilton would count but not the ambassadors.

Womp womp

I'm seeing only one kingmaker from the deep south, so would it have been better off if we left it open or did he need to be picked to avoid the drop?

In theory, picking him would have helped avoid the domestic stability hit — though if he’s low ranking in admin, he could have caused other problems including a potential domestic stability hit. Haha.

Leaving it vacant would not have helped I think as they’d still be upset they didn’t get a cabinet position as there’s enough to go around (even though you don’t have the freedom to fill them, they’re still riled up about having never been included in the first place, haha.
