vcczar
Last Free Agency Round @matthewyoung123 @OrangeP47 @ebrk85 @Rezi @jnewt All unclaimed players will retire if not selected, unless they were an undrafted rookie. Check your contracts, but now is your chance to get very cheap backup QBs, kickers, and other players. Feel free to make a bid lower than what they desire. So you can say, "will take Esiason for a D-level contract" for instance. He will go for the highest bidder. If you have a QB that is light red or bright red, you might want a backup. If you haven't a K, you might want a K. There's also a FB and a T. jnewt
I’m not going to be able to actually look at my teams and free agents in depth, probably, until late tonight. So you can go ahead and either advance without me trying to sign any FAs, or make offers for me, @vcczar. I don’t think my teams have many needs anyways, and I know I don’t want to drop anyone. vcczar
Free Agent Signings: QB Flutie - Rams QB Testaverde - Bears QB Esiason - Oilers (at D) FB Mack - 49ers (drop FB Davis) FB Davis - Saints (as a D @OrangeP47....did this because the Saints didn't have a RB or FB and this prevents at least an F for you. Also, it wasn't fair that Davis would be retired because he was dropped in the last FA round, so I had to give him to someone.) T Gruber - Seahawks K Boniol - Colts K Wilkins - Lions Retirements: QB George, QB Detmer, QB Klingler, QB Millen, QB Blake, QB Kosar, QB Everett, QB Ware, QB Mirer. Remaining FA: Rookie QB Frerotte will hope to be picked up next year. I'll figure out the team strengths after I grade a ton of papers. vcczar
1994 NFL Season Power Rankings (Pre-Boost/Penalties)! I was able to do this even without ebrks starting RBs being settles as they are approximately the same skill. You can actually ignore the records here because I think these are from the 1992 season and not from last season. One thing that is noticable is that the Vikings flew WAAAAAY up, mainly due to great drafting (Kurt Warner) and great FA pickups. The SB is looking like Dolphins vs Vikings, but there are so many strong teams that it will be hard to know how this ends up. Bengals and Saints are the worst teams. The former never reached for a stronger QB, while the latter never went for a RB. I think due to division strengths, it almost certain the Bengals will get the 1st overall pick next year, unless they boost their way out of this. You dropped two spots in the power rankings with Flutie, mainly because he's less accurate and fumble prone, although he is much more mobile. The drop isn't as bad as it sounds because the teams are a lot closer together.
