  1. The benefits of incumbency are dependent on many factors, most of which are beyond the president's control. One incumbent losing following a record three straight two termers doesn't strike me as much of a trend.
  2. Most conservatives like Cheney, there just aren't very many conservatives left. Big Government guys like Trump have taken over the GOP.
  3. Trump wouldn't run against Obama. Heck, Trump didn't run against Obama either time even though lots of of people were speculating he would.
  4. NY is Trump's home state, why wouldn't he be expected to do better there?
  5. No independent thought allowed for the GOP. Cheney was labeled at RINO and cast out because she only voted with Trump 93% of the time.
  6. They were credible enough when they were investigating Hillary Clinton's emails. Everybody likes the ref when the opposing team gets a penalty and hates him when their team gets one. This is no different.
  7. You can't subpoena someone for documents that don't belong to them. To recover stolen property, law enforcement comes in with a warrant and takes it. They don't call to let the possessor know they're coming.
  8. The GOP is just giving away this senate seat
  9. GOP nominee for Michigan AG named in election security breach probe https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/08/07/gop-nominee-michigan-ag-named-election-security-breach-probe/?tid=ss_tw
  10. Kansas taught the GOP a lesson. Even in right wing states, most people don't want a total abortion ban.
  11. I'm not justifying my votes to you or anyone
  12. Henry VIII is more overrated
  13. People all over the world will be listening to Beethoven and Mozart long after Churchill is a footnote in British history books
  14. Being the most significant VP is like owning the fastest Yugo on your block
  15. Perhaps they want to disabuse any remaining notion that the current GOP is in any way the "Party of Lincoln"
  16. No way the Reps take Sanford Bishop's seat
  17. There have been plenty of terrorist attacks while we've been in Afghanistan, but like the incidents in your link they don't fit your narrow definition. The Fort Hood shooter killed 13 people while shouting praises to Allah then called himself a "soldier in Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula" at his trial. Apparently you don't think that counts as terrorism launched from foreign soil. There are many other examples.
  18. 9/11 was an isolated incident. There were no terror attacks against the homeland launched from foreign soil in the 20 years before it either.
  19. There hasn't been a poll with Walker leading in months. Every time he opens his mouth he says something idiotic and the Trump endorsement is a huge negative. Warnock will cruise to an easy victory.
  20. You make an excellent case for not nominating someone with little experience
  21. Warnock would mean Georgia's Republican governor appointing a replacement to fill the seat until the next election. The Democrats don't want that. Warnock is very light on experience. Less than half a term in the senate is all he's got.
  22. If not Trump vs. Biden in 2024, then who? Here are the politicians showing signs they could be in the mix https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-biden-rematch-desantis-newsom-gop-primary-democrat-options-2022-7
  23. Torture doesn't work. There's mountains of evidence proving its ineffectiveness as an information gathering technique. The only true purpose of torture is to entertain the torturer.
  24. Nixon didn't inaugurate the War on Drugs. It really started when Kennedy signed the US onto the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs in 1961 and accelerated with LBJ's creation of the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs in 1968. However, like most bad policies that haunt us today, its roots are in the Wilson administration. In this case the Harrison Narcotics Tax Act of 1914, which Wilson pushed congress to pass and was supported by some of the most disgusting, racist rhetoric imaginable.
  25. Most Democrats Don’t Want Biden in 2024 https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/11/us/politics/biden-approval-polling-2024.html
