  1. 1. Well things certainly turned for the better haven't they? Traficant certainly feels buoyed by it all, and he won't stop the train now. He decides to pay a visit to Representative Neal Smith, who's district covers Des Monies and a portion of Southwestern Iowa. Perfect. The motive behind the visit is simple, Jim wants Smith's endorsement. 2. After that, Jim Traficant will pay a visit to Adams County, Iowa. It's the least populated county in the entire state, and Traficant aims to do a round tour of the entire county, believing he could probably meet many of the potential voters there with ease. 3. Traficant then goes down to Taylor County, where he goes to the small town of Bedford and barnstorms it. A man has to build up his charm and wit somehow right?
  2. 1. Traficant will take a quick detour in his county tour, going back to Des Moines. He goes over to 400 Locust Street, Suite 500 to meet with staff of the Des Moines Register, where he seeks an endorsement. In person Traficant is calm and collected, nor does he expect to get something on the spot. But privately, he's getting a bit nervous, he just can't seem to land with who should be his own people. He has to shake up the race somehow. 2. Resuming his tour, Traficant lands in Dallas County where he holds a town hall in Waukee, answering questions and spitting facts. Yeah, this type of thing hasn't seemed to work so far but he knows he has that charisma within him, it'll come out, it will. 3. Traficant decides to detour again, thinking more and more it's time to experiment a bit. The campaign fund is middling to say the least, and Traficant barely has enough money to scrape together a shoddy ad, but with a freelance cameraman and a well lit room, a two minute advertisement of Traficant talking about his life story and attacking every single one of his opponents with one liners is filmed. Due to limited funds, this ad only airs in the southwest corner of Iowa, but at least it managed to get slotted for prime time.
  3. 1. Alright, time to visit Benton County! Traficant arrives in Vinton buoyed by the reception received in Toledo, knowing that all he needs to do is replicate that to begin his climb to the top. Traficant decides to go full balls to the wall with NAFTA, holding a rally where he decries "free trade lunacy", attacks his opponents who support NAFTA, and promises an "earnest renewal for the working class." 2. After wheelin' it in the more rural areas, Traficant comes to Linn County ready to tackle the city of Cedar Rapids. He sets up a booth around the busiest street he could find and starts to spit tirade after tirade against NAFTA, the IRS, and Military Interventionism. Of course, he has pamphlets to give out if anyone is interested. The same ones that worked so well in Toledo. 3. Traficant goes into Jones County wanting to do something less stress intensive after his previous events. He comes into Anamosa and wrangles a few supporters to knock doors with him. He mostly takes the backseat for this one and let's his volunteers do most of the talking, since people don't seem like to really... like him.
  4. 1. Charlatans! Rid the lot of them! They may not like him now, but the will of the people will not be denied! Traficant will go through the 99 county plan to the best of his ability, and it's going to go great! He can take Polk off the list to start off, and he decides to go up to Story County to kick off his tour. He sets up a booth near Iowa State University and let voters meet with him directly. He prepares a few key talking points, 1. NAFTA is a Ponzi Scheme, 2. The IRS is a sham and must be abolished, and for some more normal ideas, 3. Abortion should be safe, legal, and rare, and 4. The military budget should see some cuts. Beam me up! 2. Traficant then goes over to Marshalltown, where he just decides to get up close and personal and knock on doors himself. Surely the people will enjoy a little one on one? 3. Now to Tama county, where he visits Toledo, Iowa. This time, James actually has campaign pamphlets to give out listing the same points he used back in Ames plus some other important stuff like his plan to combat the drug crisis with no quarter, getting better pay for teachers nationwide, etc. He knocks on doors and hands them out, and offers to chat some more if wanted.
  5. 1. James Traficant kicks off his campaign with a speech from his home of Youngstown, laying out the facts straight "Let's keep it real, George Bush is a free trade crusader who will speed NAFTA through any day now. He doesn't represent the working class of Youngstown, nor the working class of Ohio, the Midwest, and definitely not the country as a whole. You think my opponents will put their foots down? Trust me, they'll sign off on every so called "free trade" agreement they can and cause mass degradation in our communities. You want someone who will stand up for you and fight the special interests? Beam me up! Vote for James!" 2. He may be a working man, but the struggle farmers face is similar. James understand this, he knows he can connect with them, and soon enough he'll make quite the splash, just you wait! But first, James needs to build some name rec. James will barnstorm Des Moines to get people talking about him, he eschews talking policy instead using his charm and wit to make a lasting impression. 3. After a bit of rest, Traficant will head back to Des Moines to hold a rally. He proclaims he will "barnstorm Iowa to heck!" and pledges to "visit all 99 counties if he has to!", as he puts it, "For you, Iowa."
  6. As always, I refuse to play someone serious in these RPs. Give me James Traficant.
  7. Better than anything Taylor could do 😎
  8. We need Jason Aldean to come in and squash the Liberals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Used to be. After a lot of thought though I don't think anarchism is a viable option in the long term unfortunately, so I just identity as a Minarchist now. Besides, I find Mises super cringe, especially since it just shows how much the LP remains embroiled in it's purity battle.
  10. I'll be eligible to vote in 2024 which is nice, though as if right now I would just write-in myself on the presidential ballot. I can consider voting the LP if they don't nominate a Mises fuckwad.
  11. 1. It's barely less than a year from election day 2. Third party candidate Ross Perot once lead the pack, Gary Johnson polled double digits at times, "Deez Nuts" even had high poll numbers at some point and he was 15! Its still early to say if RFK Jr. will have an actual affect on the race yet.
  12. For a second I thought @ConservativeElector2 clutched it with Captured Nazi Scientist and saved the game for him, but the MilOps track came in and gave the me the win. Good stuff.
  13. I always assumed it was a square shape, I'll be honest. It just made sense looking at it.
  14. I've played the mobile port version only, though it's basically the P.C. version refitted for mobile screens (there is a setting for resolution for example). Can't wait for this to start.
  15. "Shall not be infringed" is pretty clear language, on a base line level this is something that should be acknowledged and accepted. A few other thoughts though - America has a gun culture that seems to be unique to us, and considering everything it would probably be a net positive to just roll with it and embrace it instead of opting to push it away. Make sure gun safety and trigger discipline resources are in abundance and encouraged so the population can remain informed. - Judging from the backstories of a lot of shooters (especially as it pertains to school shootings), a lot of this seems to start at the school. When it comes to trying to better access to mental health services, targeting schools would be the best option. For a lot of kids, it's the best they got (I go school in a low income area where something like 80%+ of the student population is considered "economically disadvantaged". My school recognizes this and has been upping the ante, they recently hired four psychiatric social-workers.) - No guns in the classroom please. My school is at least half full of wannabe gangbangers, fights are relatively common. I couldn't imagine giving guns to teachers and leaving it to their own devices. - Outside of schools (I'm still in high school so it's relevant to me. Hell, we went on lockdown a week or two ago), a lot of gun violence simply occurs to due to people living in an area where they don't believe there is much of an opportunity to make something out of themselves outside of running drugs or joining a gang. The drug part is easy to solve (in my opinion), legalize drugs and grant the sale of it legitimacy so we can provide a place where people can safely acquire product instead of getting it from some shady guy in a dark alleyway. The states can tax the shit out of it and use the money to reinvest in the communities and fight addiction. The other component would be attracting more jobs and encourage small business to flow in, something which I'm not educated enough for me to give concrete solutions with confidence on. I'll just roll with "slash those taxes and let the free market take the wheel" I guess so I'm not empty handed. - You're right, I may not need most likely don't need an AR-15. But you know what? It's fun shooting big guns, so I don't care. What are you gonna do about it liberal snowflake soy boy? 😎
  16. I would glady be apart of any debate, it's about damn time
  17. People! It's high time that we bring down the duopoly and show America that the Libertarian Party is a force to be reckoned with! For too long our party has beset itself with inner struggles and party rancour, if we are to show we are serious we must bridge the gap and unite our party. A lot of us forget that our brothers on the left are with us too, even if our views on capital are far apart. How can we bring true liberty to America if we don't have a united front? It's because of this that I am proud to announce my second in command and future vice president, Rezi! We got a long road ahead of us people, America has it's ills and we shall be its tonic! Vote Gold this year, and see how a true party of principle governs.
  18. The two party system yet again shows the failure of First Past the Post! Hold your votes, vote Gold this year. Cenzo 2024.
  19. Imagine participating in the folly of the two party system? Vote for Cenzonico 2024!
  20. Some redneck in the Appalachian backcountry casually driving around with a Robert E. Lee statue in the back.
  21. This seems fun. First, what major party would you run under in the primaries? Libertarian Secondly, Give us your platform using the following topics: Abortion & Planned Parenthood: Allow abortion rights on the basis that it is a decision made between private actors (the mother and her doctor) that shouldn't be regulated by government. Ultimately, try to follow the "Safe, Legal, & Rare" philosophy by encouraging comprehensive sex ed so people can be properly informed when it comes to decisions regarding sex. Gay marriage and LGBT adoption: Who cares? Let a man marry another man, let a woman marry woman. I don't see a reason to bar them from adoption. Gender transition/identity: When it comes to minors, have them go though a comprehensive psychological process to confirm their feelings (or perhaps not). Nothing should be done until they reach the age of consent. Adults can do whatever they want. Gun laws/regulations: The constitution is very clear, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This is non-negotiable outside of a few basic background checks to prevent people with a criminal history or medical diagnosis that may predispose them to violence from getting firearms. First Amendment/Hate speech/social media censorship: All speech is free speech (including hate speech). The line is broken when someone begins to incite violence towards specific people and/or groups. Social media sites can do what they wish on their platform, but at times they can definitely be a bit trigger happy. Anti-racism/racism: Racism is something that will always exist in some form, but the best way to minimize it is through education and getting boots on the ground to fight it's effect. Not much that government can do here. Government mandates during epidemics/pandemics: A nationwide lockdown for a week or two while we figure out what the hell is going on is acceptable and I wouldn't mind that. From there the federal governments job should only be to work with the states to help stop the spread and get more medical equipment in. Any mandates or lockdowns will be at the discretion of the governor and state legislature. Supreme Court/reform: The Supreme Court is fine in it's current state, I don't believe this is a issue we need to rock the boat on. Election reform/gerrymandering: Expand the number of house representatives to a number similar to that of the House of Commons (we are a nation of over 360 million come on now), switch from FPTP and WTA to Star Voting and MMP, aim to give all parties equal coverage, independent commissions for all states. This would severely lessen the effects of gerrymandering and help to break the current duopoly held by the Dems and the GOP. Social Security/Welfare/Bailouts: Welfare in it's current state only creates a cycle of dependency that has ripple effects in generations and the communities that rely the most on government assistance. Abolish the welfare state and replace it with a Universal Basic Income. How much depends on the person but it will only cover rent, bills, and a bit for food, the idea being that people will still be encouraged to work and better themselves while at least having the peace of mind that they will have something to fall back on if needed. A negative income tax in tandem is something I've considered but I would need to look more in the specifics before making a definitive answer. Bailouts are a distortion of the free market, as they say "Too Big to Fail is Too Big to Exist!". Education/Student Loans: Student loan forgiveness is stupid, I don't believe we should be punishing taxpayers for the financial mishaps of others. The issue is that the federal government preys on people since they just give out loans like it's nothing. Restrict access for federal loans, only allowing a certain income level to use them. Let the banks and other private actors do the job for everyone else. Consider changing around (lowering?) funding for higher education to encourage colleges and universities to lower tuition. Big Pharma/Drug prices & Obamacare: Obamacare? Gone! Medicare? Gone! Deregulation the shit out of our healthcare system and take away power from Big Pharma so physicians can provide care directly at the prices they decide. Encourage alternative means of acquiring pharmaceuticals as well, I've seen sites that do it and it's pretty cool. Drug laws/War on Drugs/Marijuana: The War on Drugs is one of the biggest shams in history, a very costly one as well. Abolish the DEA and fully legalize all drugs on the federal level. From there the federal government should facilitate the legal sale of drugs at first with a model akin to that of an ABC store, ensuring that all drugs are "safe" (by safe I mean not laced or anything) and can be bought and sold at legitimate vendors. After a bit the federal government can let go and let states and localities deal with them. The idea is that 1. This will effectively kill any value hard drugs carry, crippling organized crime organizations such as the Cartels and 2. Addicts will be able to get the help they need without fear since this will finally become an issue of public health. Lobbyists/corruption: Campaign fiance reform and overturn Citizens United, though most of this is something that individuals would have to solve. Minimum Wage/Unions/Labor: There should be no such thing as a federal minimum wage, let the states and other localities decide what is best. I do believe that Unions inherently are a good thing, but they must be curtailed as too not have too much power (see Police and Teacher unions). Support private unions wholeheartedly though. Corporations/Business: Big business are not our friends, anti-trust laws are great! That being said, deregulation and lower taxes are key for the growth of our economy. Small business make America go round. Environment/Climate: With the scientific consensus on Climate Change, oil and coal will die out as our primary source of energy anyway. We can provide the right incentives to speed the process up though, encourage our inventors and entrepreneurs to look into renewables and provide tax credits to companies who spearhead the process. Allow West Virginia to burn coal, and let Alaska frack, but let California build solar panels. We should aim to make Nuclear Energy our prime renewable energy source. Natural Resources/Oil/Alt-energy: Basically what I said above. Trade/NAFTA/tariffs: The freer the markets the freer the people. Free trade is the only forward, and we should aim to promote trade with the world! Soft Power 101 people! Cryptocurrency: Who cares? Immigration/Borderwalls/Deportations: Freedom is movement is a basic human right, support a policy of open borders and let all make the American dream for themselves! Border patrol can stay merely to make sure everything is in order. Police reform: Decentralize police departments in smaller groups that all work together but each properly represent the neighborhoods they serve. Demilitarize the police, get rid of qualified immunity. NATO/UN: The U.S. has a place in the world that we must flex whether you like it or not, remain active in NATO and actively push for it's expansion. Try to see if we can reform the UN into a more effective organization. Israel/Palestine: Withdraw support from either side, flex our diplomatic process and aim to force both sides into beginning proper peace talks for once. The U.S. can mediate and oversee it all. Russia/Ukraine: Putin is a despot who wants to fulfill his wet irredentist dreams, America shouldn't just sit there and do nothing. Continue our support for Ukraine's struggle full throttle. China: Don't antagonize China with nonsense trade wars, and trade with them as normal. Instead we should work to better manufacturing here and cultivate trading relationships with the countries that surround China, we can isolate them that way. Iran: I think the status-quo with Iran works at the moment, let's just watch them and contain them properly if they decide to be a bit too quirky. Syria: Assad is cringe but not much we can do here. Terrorism: Work with foreign nations to combat terror around the world, just no drone strikes or bs like that. Foreign Aid: Cut most foreign aid, reinvest it in countries such our Latin American neighbors and the homefront. Infrastructure: "Buh Isaiah, who will build the streets!" I don't know, private enterprise... as it always has? Military Spending: Cut by half and reinvest the rest into R&D in a shift to focus on getting the latest and greatest tech. Sell it to our allies and boom America is it's own arms dealer! Domestic Spending: Most of the federal government would be abolished or trimmed down significantly in it's current state so we'd have much more money to spare overall. Philosophically I am a Minarchist, but I know that won't be happening anytime soon. IRS/Fed Reserve/Taxation: Taxation is thief folks! IRS? Gone! Taxation should be dropped across the board! Get rid of the Federal Reserve and move towards free banking. Other topics not included above: Get rid of the Patriot Act, NSA, and other excuses the federal government uses to infringe on civil liberties. Liberalize zoning laws dramatically so we can build build build.
