  1. At the end of the day it's only a vocal minority of folks that advocate for a total ban with zero exceptions and abortion on demand. Something like an abortion window starting from 5 weeks and ending at 25 weeks, with perhaps allowing it after 25 if due to medical concerns is simple and would satisfy people who aren't following partisan dogma, i.e. most regular Americans. From there we could focus on proper sex education so the need of abortion can be lessened in the first place.
  2. An ideal America is one where we cut back on military spending and invest what's left of it into R&D. Then we just sell it to our allies and boom, glorified arms dealer.
  3. So true, Ms. Blood. (We all know that Ryan Binkley is destined to become the nominee.)
  4. I think setting the two term precedent was something good for America. What this comes down to is how we as Americans romanticize George Washington as a figure, which is why he can be considered overrated (I slightly do). For his time he was a figure that towered over everyone else, him being the first president just seemed natural. Over three hundred years on and that's still pretty much the case, we revere him for his service in the Rev and owe gratitude for him setting the precedents of what the president is. Imagining an America without him feels wrong. Do I think this should automatically grant him status as "best president"? No. Is it a good argument though? I think so.
  5. Citing personal reasons, Paperboy "Love" Prince drops out of the race.
  6. What is there to say about New York City that hasn’t been said? America is a vast land, no doubt. But one city seems to attract people far and wide, and not just from the United States. O’Brien was born in Ireland, and like many of his brethren fled the British boot and ended up in the great New York City. It’s only been a decade since, but it’s been a busy one for him. O’Brien sat in his home, a drink in hand, pondering. His term as Sheriff ended last year, but he’s already considering what should be the next thing for him. Congress? Maybe. State Congress? It has its appeal. Hmm… you know taking down Boss Tweed was the highlight of his career so far. How many people can say that they helped take down the ringleader of America's premier political machine? Not many, but O’Brien certainly can. *gulp* That’s the good stuff. All of that really only has happened within the last few months. I’ve served New York damn well haven’t I? Alderman, Sheriff, haven’t been here that long. I guess continue up the city ladder? I can’t remember if there is actually anything going on though. Wait. The paper said something about the mayor position being up this year, no? It did! Hey wait a minute… That’s perfect. Going from taking Boss Tweed down to taking over his city? Quite the life story. Does that mean he’s running with the Democrats though? His loyalties still lie with them no matter what. After everything though, can he really? Nah. But he certainly ain’t no Republican. Perhaps it’s time to go his own way. Like he did when he left home. Independence. Inde…pendent. Why? To send a message of course. Boss Tweed was no. 1. Tammany Hall is no 2. O'Brien proceeds to file his candidacy later on in the day.
  7. 1. Paperboy "Love" Prince is not deterred from their online efforts. This time they will attempt to ratio every candidate in the Republican primary for governor. They enlist the Yang Gang specifically to spread the word. 2. Paperboy "Love" Prince treks down to more familiar territory for them, New York City. They campaign throughout Brooklyn, going to train stations, the local coffee shop, bodegas, etc. 3.PLP asks the Working Families Party for an endorsement, saying that they are the candidate most suited to fight for progressive causes. An endorsement could also come in handy later on…
  8. 1. Paperboy "Love" Prince will continue their crusade online, this time attempting to ratio every single Republican senator on Twitter. 2. Paperboy "Love" Prince decides to hit up Tompkins County, where they hold events at Cornell and Ithaca to gain some support with da youth vote. 3. PLP asks Andrew Yang for an endorsement, professing how Yang is one of their big inspirations (especially with their support for UBI).
  9. Let me get Sheriff O'Brien. We're going to take down Tammany Hall!
  10. 1. In order to gain some publicity, Paperboy "Love" Prince will do a stunt outside of the Governor's Mansion. They protest, decrying the establishment and "MAGADemtards" who "dick ride Andrew Cuomo 24/7". They add on further by promising to restore "honor and dignity" to Albany. 2. Paperboy "Love" Prince barnstorms Albany after, using their super energy they channeled from earlier to spread their message of love and progressivism. 3. Paperboy "Love" Prince takes their message to the internet, ratioing right-wing politicians on Twitter and telling their platform via song & dance on Tik Tok specifically to get their name out there!
  11. Blue Dogs will support Ro Khanna I guess. RW Republicans will certainly not.
  12. The Right-wing Republicans will support all nominees except Tulsi Gabbard The Blue Dogs will vote against most nominees, but decide to support Tulsi Gabbard, Kelly Ayotte, and Jon Huntsman.
  13. Kellyanne Conway Pete Buttigieg
  14. The Blue Dogs name the following Bill Nelson for Senate Caucus Chair Charlie Crist for House Caucus Chair Blue Dogs will endorse Pete Buttigieg for chair Right-Wing Republicans name the following Jeff Sessions for Senate Caucus Chair Dan Crenshaw for House Caucus Chair RW Reps endorse Kellyanne Conway for RNC Chair.
  15. The Blue Dogs support Steny Hoyer
  16. Blue Dog members will lend their support behind Senators Schumer and Durbin and Representatives Pelosi and Hoyer. Right-Wing Republicans will support Senator McConnell and if he chooses to run, they will also support John Thune for Majority Whip. We aso support Paul Ryan for Speaker, but we will put up Thomas Massie for Whip.
  17. (Kept forgetting this existed, sorry) Blue Dogs: The Blue Dog faction is in a precarious situation at the moment. 2016 seems to have increased partisanship tenfold, and the position of blue dog democrats seems to be tenuous at best as a result. As long as party leadership doesn't force us to constantly toe the line though, we can weather the storm the best we can. Blue Dog Democrats attend the inauguration, that's what any politician who is worth their salt would do. Right? Caucus members will put out generic statements calling for unity and to "give Trump a chance" (albeit not that bluntly), and pledge to work towards "bi-partisanship and getting work on Capitol Hill done first and foremost". They stay silent on the actions of Hillary Clinton. Right-wing Republicans: We're taking a risk going along with Trump, no doubt. But we can't deny that he is able to whip the base into a frenzy, something most of us certainly couldn't do. Not to his level, at least. Besides, plenty of us are already on the Trump train. Can't get off it while it's still running right? Right-wing Republicans will of course attend the inauguration, and most will pledge their support for the president day one. Praise is levied at the inauguration speech, paying particular attention to it's "unifying manner" and "unyielding support of the traditional values that make America so great". Some in particular hound on the actions of Hillary Clinton, claiming she's "anti-democratic" and "hates America ".
  18. I am under the sophisticated opinion that they are "all bad".
  19. My story is pretty boring. I'm from a Latino family, so Catholicism is the name of the game. It was never really pushed though, and around 11 or 12, maybe 13 came to (what I see as) a natural conclusion that a higher being doesn't exist. Some atheists make an entire thing, religious types too, personally I don't see the need to.
