Legis Prop:

  • Leave matters pertaining to slavery to the states

  • Subsidize American Colonization Society

  • Fugitive Slave Act

  • Ban International Slave Trade

  • 13th Amendment

  • Abolish slavery by compensating owners

  • Ban domestic interstate slave trade

  • Various slavery proposals for US Constitutional Convention

  • Offer cheap land in Kansas if they accept pro-slavery state constitution

  • Gag Rule against pro-slavery proposals and debate

  • Gag Rule against abolition proposals and debate

  • Ban delivery of abolitionist material through US post

  • Popular Sovereignty in all Territories

  • Popular Sovereignty in Kansas and Nebraska 

  • Confiscation Act of 1862

  • Federal Slave Code

  • Popular Sovereignty in Mexican Cession

  • Make Missouri Compromise permanent

  • Sell confiscated plantations to poor whites for cheap

  • Popular Sovereignty in California

  • Apply Mexican Constitution to Texas, abolishing slavery

I saw on the list of Legislation that California can be split into 2 states. Can that relate directly to slavery or is that only triggered to very specific events?

I know California's counties are actually respectful of the 36 30 line, so does California being split into two actually relate to that line?


As for actual suggestions, (This would be more situational), but if the Missouri Compromise actually gets made permanent, then a bill for popular sovereignty for all new non-continental territories/states under that line (such as Hawaii) should be made
