Conservatives overcome DSA for a title of a party with strongest launch this campaign season!

Con party convention was an event that looked more like Rolling Stones concert than political event as it gathered excited masses in support of largest opposition party.Their new leader Chris Christie manages excitement just the right way focusing it on his personality as much as policies getting a long standing ovation.Con party platform is a strong well-written one that excites base and appeals even to some more centrist undecided  voters.

(OOC: @Rodja I just want to ask, since I noticed that you have a 5% threshold, is the electoral system we're using reminiscent of Germany's MMP with single member constituencies, and party lists determining a party's seats, or is it pure proportional, or is it like the UK with only single member constituencies and the 5% if the barrier for public funding, or deregistration or whatever? I assume it's that first one, but I'm not sure.)

People’s Party:

1.  Andrew Yang will criticize the 5% threshold as an undemocratic measure ment to disenfranchise minorities and cripple new parties.

2.  Yang will also go on a couple podcasts and talk shows to explain his plans for America.

3. Finally Yang shall speak of the need to improve conditions for startups, promising that this will usher in a new era of innovation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liberal party:

1. Clinton  will emphasize how frightening it is that Donald Trump is barely below the threshold, and will offhandedly suggest raising it.

2. Clinton will highlight her foreign policy experience under Obama, saying that she is the only one capable of bringing peace to the middle east.

3. She will also hit Christie hard on Bridgegate, claiming that the conservative party has gone from Morning in America to dusk.

Also: is this Populist party a new one (current one founded 2017) or is it a continuation of the 1892 one?

A textbook definition of a mixed bag week for Peoples Party and its leader Andrew Yang. The highest point came with Yangs podcast appearances as his warm charismatic persona sells well for national audience, his help for startups promises resonate well but that issue isnt the one that most Americans really care about this campaign season so it makes very limited impact. The weakest point that drowned the entire week down for the party, giving them the negative press is Andrews rant against electoral threshold, widely mocked as a "sore loser behavior" and called out as "the party with self-esteem so low it would rather abolish century-old rules than try to win 5% of votes"

Bad week for Clinton and her Liberals on the campaign trail.Clinton campaigning style is perceived by the voters as "too negative" as she focused much more on Christie and Trump and their flaws then her party platform and the case for her as PM.The lowest point came at her foreign policy event as she got constantly interrupted by hecklers yelling "BENGHAZI!" at her while she tried to deliver her speech. After a strong opening,Liberals are starting to have reasons to worry about this election.

Patriot

1. Trump attacks Hillary Clinton at a rally in Lexington, Kentucky "Crooked Hillary's scared, she knows that when I - when we - win this election, that there will be a complete investigation into her financial dealings with Goldman Sachs, Saudi Arabia, and so many other nasty people. She is without a doubt the most corrupt politician in history, and we are going to lock her up when I'm Prime Minister!" Trump pauses as the crowd breaks into cheers of Lock Her Up, "That's why - you've seen the news she's talking about... raising the threshold for parliamentary representation - that's why folks! She's scared, she's looking for anyway to keep us - to keep you, out of Washington. The mainstream media - and this is how you know they're all in the tank for Crooked Hillary - the mainstream media likes to talk about... what's his name, Andy I think, they talk the roof off about him being unconfident for wanting to, you know, open up the parliament a bit, but what about Hillary Clinton, who wants to jack up the cutoff so only her, her communist buddy, and Krispy Creme Christie get into Parliament. Where's the outrage over that, huh? Where's the outrage over the leader of one of the largest - supposedly one of the largest, parties, in the country calling for her political opponents to be shut out of power? They won't shut up about every little thing I do, but when Hillary Clinton says she wants to rip up our democracy? Not a peep! Well they're in for a rude awakening this November, when I win this election, bigly!"

2. The Patriot Party unveils it's first ad of the campaign season. It's a billboard advertisement propped up in the Midwest, Great Plains, and South. The ad consists of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and Steven Seagal posing toughly in tight fitting black tank tops over a black backlit background. At the bottom in big bold letters are the words "Real Men Vote Trump."

3. Ann Coulter interviews Trump on her Fox News Show, discussing such issues as Immigration, Islamic Terror, and Why Hillary Clinton is the Devil Incarnate.

DSA

1. Bernie Sanders campaigns in New York with a few local members of the party list, including notables like Jumaane Williams, India Walton, and Alexandria Occasio-Cortez, promising to build public housing to provide a low cost alternative to mortgages, or private renting.

2. Sanders tours college campuses in Texas, encouraging students to register to vote and join the DSA's youth wing Students for Socialism by talking about the party's plan to end student loan debt.

3. Sanders will hit New Hampshire, visiting communities hit hard by the opioid epidemic, promising to fight the epidemic by treating addiction, suing the pharma corporations behind the drugs, and implementing universal healthcare.

Another party with a mixed bag week.Trumps  attacks on Clinton were very effective turning media attention to her calls for raising electoral threshold, giving her negative press coverage and him constant screen time. His interview with Coulter was exciting to the base and made some sense to undecideds as well.It would have been a great week for Patriot Party if not for a billboard campaign that ended with a lawsuit,as Jean Claude VD,Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal issue a joint lawsuit against Patriot Party for using their likeness without their knowledge or approval.

And just another mixed bag week.Sanders messaging on opioid epidemic resonates well,as people see DSA caring about real issues that sometimes gets forgotten by Washington and provides real solutions to it.Campus tour doesn't do much as only students attending were those who already support DSA.Unfortunately, everything was overshadowed by a disastrous rally in NY,which attracted barely 50 people, making the party headlines with mockery that lasts entire week.

Alright week for No Labels party, they will need to do a bit better to succeed, but not a bad start.Their rally in WV attracts a large crowd, mainly thankful to the reputation of the party leader MP Joe Machin who is from the state, and their message on trade resonates well,Manchin CNN interview goes well as most viewers see him as a reasonable pragmatic politician, although more ideological voters see him as an "opportunist trying to play both sides".The fundraiser doesnt go as good,as most donors are skeptical of supporting a party polling at 2%.

Ouch.A bad,bad week for Tea Party.First they try to get Rubio to leave Con Party and join them, but all he is willing to do is have a phone call with Ron Paul wishing the party luck in the upcoming election, and kindly reject the offer, and that was really the best part of the week.Obamacare focus brings nothing good for the party as most voters see it as a settled law of the land and Tea Party campaigning focused against it as pure populism for their base.Midwest tour was an absolute disaster as very few people show up and those who do are mostly hecklers.Expect to take a hit in the polls.

Great week for Progressives, exactly what they needed to recover from poor campaign launch.Brown marijuana decriminalisation pledge convinces even those who opposed that idea with logical arguments and economic benefits he presented.Detroit auto workers are very excited about supporting Progressive Party this election season after a series of electricifying rallies.Youth are the ones who aren't completely sold, but Brown succeeded in making some inroads.

DSA

1. The DSA will appeal to National Nurses United for their endorsement, citing the fact that they are the most pro-labor party running, and also the party’s support for Medicare for All.

2. Bernie Sanders will give a speech in front of Boston Harbor with candidate Jill Stein (Ecology Faction), and party elder statesman Noam Chomsky (Libertarian Socialist Faction). His speech will hinge on the DSA’s support for a Green New Deal in order to mitigate the effects of climate change.

3. The DSA will release an advertisement aimed at informing young urban voters about the youth, and diversity in the party by highlighting promising young candidates, especially those who are Women, POC, or Queer.

Patriot

1. Trump will tour Ohio, talking to factory workers displaced by globalization, and promising to end free trade.

2. Patriot Party candidate Matt Gaetz campaign in Florida, talking about the Patriot Party’s plan to Drain the Swamp, and throw Hillary Clinton into prison.

3. Steve Bannon will appeal to the Fraternal Order of Police on Trump’s behalf, asking for their endorsement citing the fact that Trump is the most pro-police, Law&Order candidate ever.

Good week for DSA on the campaign trail.NNU endorsed the party holding a big rally with Party Leader Bernie Sanders focusing on important issues like labor rights and M4A,the event was exciting, enthusiastic and gathered a lot of media attention.Ad campaign featuring parties diversity goes very good as well as it appeals to urban young voters and minorities improving parties standing amongst those important electorates.Boston Harbor rally makes very little impact as the idea of GND is too radical for almost everyone who isnt already a DSA supporter.Overall, expect a bump in the polls.

A really, really mixed bag week.It started great as Patriot Party received endorsement from the FOP as the most pro-law and order party running, launching the avalanche of 50 national and regional police unions endorsing the party.Continuing with Gaetz rumble that appealed only to party faithful and just sounded incoherent and illogical to almost anybody else. All that just for the week to end with an absolute disaster as factory workers in Ohio throw tomatoes at Trumps hair making it an unbearable mess while yelling "FASCIST! and "RICH PIG".Trump rushed away from the scene visibly annoyed.

People’s Party:

2.  Andrew Yang will also promise to promote non-partisan commissions for redrawing districts and the use of the efficiency gap to measure gerrymandering.

3. Finally Yang will promote Medicare for All, primarily in Texas (least health insured state 2019).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liberal party:

1. Clinton will extensively rally against Citizens United, promising to begin overturning it in her first month.

2. Clinton will also say that it’s time to move on from Benghazi, bringing up that the $7 million investigation has not found any fault from her.

3. Finally she shall emphasize the historic nature of her campaign, as the first women to be considered for PM by either of the largest parties.

Weak performance for People’s Party that will not help reaching the electoral threshold.Their climate change plan just doesn't gather enough interest and falls in the shadow as soon as it is announced.Yang M4A pledge excites some left-wing party supporters but is a deal breaker for libertarian and right-wing sympathisers this party used to have.Party also gets mocked for giving attention to gerrymandering which isn't even relevant in parliamentary election.
