Hey guys!

Do you miss a good RP? Cause i sure do!

I think this idea was already done in the past,but didnt really go far and since i have a lot of spare time until December i decided to relaunch it.

The idea and rules are following:

-Election periods will move 1 turn,1 in game week,with campaigns being month and a half long,meaning election campaign lasts 6 turns.

-Governing periods will move 1 turn,3 in game months,meaning one year will last 4 turns,so expect campaigning to begin every 16 turns,unless government collapses sooner.

-Actions are free for you to choose and can be literally anything you imagine political parties, government and opposition doing in parliamentary America

-Every turn lasts up to 48 hours,if you dont post in the timeframe,i will assume you skipped the turn.

THE SETTING

Game will start on September 28th,2016.

Popular two-term Prime Minister of the Liberal Party announces he will not seek reelection causing the election to be free for all.

Prime Minister is the Head of Government,appointed by the party that succeeds to gather parliamentary majority.

There will also be the role of the President,appointed by the Parliament,representing just a ceremonial role.

Guys,since this hasnt generated much interest and i am very excited to proceed with it,would you be in for controlling two parties?

Since this is a parliamentary simulation and coalitions are going to be a huge part of it,if you are in for this than ur parties must be ideologically very different to avoid fixed coalitions with one player running it all.

Patriot Kick Off (Donald Trump, Rally in Charleston, WV, Protectionism, America First, Immigration)

Businessman Donald Trump announced the formation of a new right wing party called the Patriot Party at a massive kickoff rally hosted in the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, drawing spectators from both within, and without the state. Trump - who previously flirted with running as a member of the Reform (now No Labels) Party in 2000, and the Conservative Party in 2012 - focused his speech on economic issues, and foreign policy giving scant mention to social issues outside of calling for increased immigration restrictions. The speech itself consisted of Trump opening with a denunciation of America's 'political class', before moving on to call for the renegotiation of NAFTA, and an end to free trade, an 'America First' foreign policy that would see the US end most of its overseas commitments, and stiffer enforcement of the US's border laws. DSA Kick Off (Sanders, Party Convention in Chicago, M4A, Green New Deal, Reduce Military Spending)

The Democratic Socialist of America Convention opened in Chicago, Illinois with the traditional singing of There is Power in the Union before longtime leader Bernie Sanders was renominated as Chairman and Prime Minister Designate convincingly (despite a small number of the Marxist delegates attempting to nominate Seattle City Council member Kshama Shawant). Sanders gave a short acceptance speech, and thanked the delegates for renominating him once again before the convention quickly moved on to matters of policy. The 2016 manifesto was largely the same as the 2012 manifesto, presenting sweeping plans to remake the American economy into a Democratic Socialist one, easily making the DSA the most left-wing of the mainstream parties (though it bares mentioning that the party had moderated itself drastically from it's days on the Marxist fringe under Gus Hall's short lived leadership in the 70s, and even in comparison to Harrington's DSA of the 80s). Sherrod took the time as a unifying message, bringing in dissatisfied from the Liberal Party who is quickly Los support in the rust belt. 
 

In regards to a platform the Progressive Party will put forth a strong support of unions, a public option in regards to healthcare. Militaristically A softer foreign policy, but also more generated and providing aid to countries in danger of potential conflicts in the future (most notably Ukraine and Taiwan)

 The newly founded party faced some trouble right out the door with its launch not going as good as they hoped for and needed to.Rally was very weakly attended causing mockery to the party including memes online,Trump has charisma and passion talking about these issues but people still have problems to see him as a serious politician and wish to see someone more experienced leading their party.The only bright spot was party platform which resonated well and majority of voters who followed launch live or at home agree with key parts.

It was a very good start for DSA,the one the party couldn't even dream for in previous elections when they were barely over 5% threshold and considered left-wing lunatics,its no more that way.75% of polled citizens approve of the DSA 2016 platform and qualify it as common sense policies,Chairman Sanders finally has his breakout moment as he is finally treated as a political rockstar by both voters and media after a life long career on the sidelines.The convention had just an average attendance but nobody worries about that at all as Socialism goes mainstream!

Progressives could have had a good start if not for a disastrous launch,when certain union  representatives they invited started booing Sherrod speech,calling him "traitor" and a "sellout",convention needed to be interrupted for hecklers to be kicked out.In the shadow of the incident stood Sherrod Brown as the likable leader and a platform supported by majority of voters.

TEA PARTY
The convention was crazy, The Tea Party originally established to repeal the Obamacare back in 2011, now the party is the void with its original purpose it just seems like the act itself is impossible to repeal due to many now moderates supporting it. Within the actual party two sides are now forming, the Ted Cruz faction, It seeked to bring back American values by being the only paleoconservative faction in Congress. But the faction weakened due to the rise of Patriot Party and rise of Trump, now it leads a small faction of Right Wing populist that hold mostly right libertarian values. In other side is a the more powerful yet quiet faction called, Minarchists, a faction lead by Ron Paul, when he stole the headlights from prominent tea party movement activist. Instead he lead the way for a more right libertarian radical views. 

The Convention finally ended with Ron Paul winning the votes, a close vote as many Patriots had came back to the party after the disastar that was Trump. Ron created the "Deal with the American People", a manifesto like convention platform that seeks to do 5 important things to USA.
1. Bring Back Gold Standard and rid the USA from inflation keep the USD SAFE AND STRONG.
2. Repel Obamacare and instead create tax breaks for private insurance to incentivize more competition.
3. End the progressive tax and bring a flat tax for all, in this way, the poor pays less and rich pays less.
4. Bring USA back to focus on domestic policies by ending the wars and auditing military spending.
5. Rid the USA from many wasteful federal programs to finally bring a fiscal Utopia.
NO LABELS PARTY
This was a recently created party and has a small convention, created after the disaster and political failure to try and solve the Great Recession back in 2008. So in 2015 a collection of Liberal party members and Conservative party members decided to join together in forces with minor parties such as the libertarian party and Green party and Reform party to finally rid the political system of polarization. But in its effect, the original plan was shifted when a political alliance of Joe Manchin and John Kasich brought centrism into the focus and they and their factions became the party bosses. 

Now the Convention held in West Virginia has finally ended, with Joe Manchin running. While Joe Manchin is the front of the party, John Kasich still welded a large power over the center-right and rumors have been brought that if anyone of them is prime minister then other is effectively also co-prime minister. 
They list of three reasons that soon become the platform.
1. A restoration of Bipartisan political legislation of the old.
2. A reform of the Electoral system to rid the system of radicalism.
3. Force Congress to work together to actively solve problems.

Launch: Convention in Philadelphia..

Manifesto:

   1. Generally keep on the course of the outgoing PM.

   2. Raise min wage to $12 by 2020.

   3. Moderately expand gun control.

The 2016 Liberal National Convention, held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from September 28 to October 2nd, 2016, gathered delegates of the Liberal Party to choose a party leader after Barack Obama announced his intention to retire from politics. They settled on Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who received 88.2% of the vote on the first ballot. 

In her speech to the delegates Clinton Emphasized her governmental experience, while also spending time to warn of the dangers of “radicals” such as Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump. Seeing the impressive polling from the DSA she made sure to bring up her support of greater welfare and raising the min wage, approperating some more populist rhetoric at the same time.

Other notable speakers include: Michelle and Barack Obama, Michael Bloomberg, Bill and Chelsea Clinton and Tim Kaine.

Leader: CEO of VFA Andrew Yang.

Launch: Rally in NYC.

Manifesto: 

   1. $1,000 monthly universal basic income to US citizens aged 18 or older.

   2. Crack down on corruption.

   3. Renegotiate Nafta.

CEO of Venture for America Andrew Yang christened the People’s Party at a massive rally in New York City, drawing spectators from both within, and without the city. Yang focused his speech on economic issues, giving little mention to social and foreign issues outside of calling for limited protectionism. The speech itself consisted of Yang opening with a denunciation of Out of touch politicians, before moving on to call for the renegotiation of NAFTA, and the introduction of a UBI.

Tea Party had a good not great start in this campaign.Party Leader Ron Paul is popular amongst the people as he is considered honest politician with integrity,quickly unifying the party after the convention and winning over some Patriot Party sympathisers unhappy with Donald Trump,Tea Party platform is well-written and appeals to anti-establishment voters.

Now the Convention held in West Virginia has finally ended, with Joe Manchin running. While Joe Manchin is the front of the party, John Kasich still welded a large power over the center-right and rumors have been brought that if anyone of them is prime minister then other is effectively also co-prime minister. 
They list of three reasons that soon become the platform.
1. A restoration of Bipartisan political legislation of the old.
2. A reform of the Electoral system to rid the system of radicalism.
3. Force Congress to work together to actively solve problems.

Everything is alright and nothing is good for No Labels Party as they launch their campaign.Party led by Manchin and Kasich is seen as reasonable but boring option and will need a breakout moment in coming weeks if they want a notable result.

The 2016 Liberal National Convention, held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from September 28 to October 2nd, 2016, gathered delegates of the Liberal Party to choose a party leader after Barack Obama announced his intention to retire from politics. They settled on Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who received 88.2% of the vote on the first ballot. 

In her speech to the delegates Clinton Emphasized her governmental experience, while also spending time to warn of the dangers of “radicals” such as Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump. Seeing the impressive polling from the DSA she made sure to bring up her support of greater welfare and raising the min wage, approperating some more populist rhetoric at the same time.

Other notable speakers include: Michelle and Barack Obama, Michael Bloomberg, Bill and Chelsea Clinton and Tim Kaine.

Many worried about the future of the Liberal Party after PM Obama retired,but this convention has proven there was nothing to worry about.Liberals still got it!Their new leader Hillary Clinton is an experienced political figure that people are very excited about since she would become first female PM if elected,Liberal platform is  the exact combination of pragmatism and progress that people can get behind.The only thing that came short was a convention,as Clinton planned for spectacle and delivered just average political event.

Seems like new political force is born!People’s Party gets a very good start,as their platform,especially UBI go viral and unite far-left and far-right in support for it.Andrew Yang,unknown to wider public until know left an impression of a kind charismatic man,weakest point of the launch was the really that wasn't very well attended.This is a small party that never before reached 5% threshold,but they might just have a chance to do so this year.
