Vols21
Things I ponder late at night 1). District Of Columbia- Arnold DC. I realize, Benedict Arnold was the first President, but didn’t he fail miserably at the role and lose a landslide when he ran a second time? Would the country really name the DC after him then? I’m trying to think which was the best President so far (Butler was doing pretty good before he lost his marbles and started 4 wars, losing 3). History might judge some like Lee better than people thought they did at the time. So does DC get named after the first President regardless of how good he did, or would it named after someone considered a great President? 2). With Philadelphia being a bustling metropolis and people flocking to see the new Smithsonian Museum that was built there, I wonder why some people want to move the capital away (especially with the current President being from that state). And with the country expanding westward, it’s seems elitist to move the capital east and away from the country’s growth, question is: If the capital moves at some point, do monuments and museums (like Smithsonian) also get relocated? Or will they remain in the old capital city (like the Liberty Bell did)
Arkansas Progressive
1. DC is named after the first president, regardless of what he did according to the rules. 2. Cringe move, keep the capitol in a major city. A capitol district is just gonna disenfranchise voters later hint hint

He did lose re-election in a landslide, but so has every other President (Butler won one but then lost in a landslide thereafter). He’s also a war hero, was Butler’s key advisor in the good years, and came out of retirement to help defend us in the military. So he certainly has his fans, even if it’s not as universal as Washington was in our timeline.
